Anyone else prefered when Bloodthirster was adc's core item?
Back in Season 3,
was THE core item for adc. Much like
is many bruisers' core item, BT offered everything an ADC wanted relatively early.
For those that weren't there back then, BT used to be like this:
3200Gold 70AD 12% Lifesteal Passive: Killing any unit grants 1 AD and 0.2 Lifesteal, stacking up to 30 times. You lose half the stacks on death. Fully Stacked it granted 100 AD and 18% Lifesteal
ADCs would get their power spike at three items, yet they'd still be able to function properly with the help of BT. You couldn't just rush IE and a zeal item and expect a massive powerspike like today, since a huge chunk of your base damage came from BT. There were little point in building atk speed or crit without that chunk of AD.
The power curve was much smoother on ADC. The only real gripe with that item was that BF's cost was 1550 back then (for 45 AD) so backing early would force you into a
. So if one adc had his BF while the other only had his vampiric scepter, it forced one side to play passively, which the early lifesteal helped.
Also crit didn't feel so bad back then, since by the time an adc would buy crit, everyone would have higher base stats already to mitigate it.
