im ashamed to admit, i dont know how to deal with aatrox in lane.

seen him for the first time in probably years.

any recommendations? dodging his q and e is not the issue. but it feels pointless to try and take trades with him.

in the time my abilities come off cooldown, he already healed back up on the minion wave. for me the dude is like a brick in lane. maybe im just playing the wrong champion.

helped somewhat, but barely.

aatrox gets shutdown by a mix of attack speed reductions and executioners, the slower he attacks the worse his healing becomes overall

Treat him like you would pantheon, your attempts at taking a good trade with him is almost null till later on, except in aatrox's case he'll sustain it back at a good pace.

though if you reallywant to fight him, have him bring the fight to you. champs like Darius Illaoi really destroy him just by outmuscling him with ease, even moreso if he wants to fight you in your minion wave

there's really no solid way to beat him in lane unless you're trying to kill him with a stronger early game champ with good poke. dude's pretty strong as a manaless lane bully. Teemo might beat him l0l.

Zone him early. Any champion that can stun him often is hard for him to deal with, such as Pantheon or Renekton. Grab item 3110 item 3143 and he becomes quite useless

well, i did get item 3082 rather early on.

im probably just going to pick Malphite into him from now on.

You have to play a champ that can zone him off the wave. Constant pressure. Who have you tried?

i was playing garen. though i didnt feel like i could really pressure him. between spins and q's he has too much time to hit a couple minions and heal back up.

my guess is i should have gone with jax, or malphite.

In my opinion, the absolute best counter to Aatrox is Fiora . She can outduel him in every stage of the game, scales harder, and cannot be engaged on by Aatrox. With some practice on the champion, using riposte on Aatrox's q will be easy, especially because it is such a slow moving ability. You can easily sidestep his e, or use your q ability to dodge it. Build item 3074 item 3071 item 3047 item 3123 and Aatrox will cry.
