Why are skins in “Your Shop” randomized

It doesnt make sense for either side of the argument. Players get less skins that they want and Riot gets less money since the players are less likely to purchase a skin that they cant control.

Instead of (for example) “Forecast Janna -50%” and you click the deal to purchase it, it should be “Janna -50%” and you can click the deal to be taken to all janna skins and you can pick one. There is no reason to not implement this as it makes the experience better for the player and more money for Riot.

But they aren't randomized. Players are offerred skins for the the champions that they play most. The particular skins offerred SEEM to somehow be arranged so that the skin most desired will be offerred last over time. (Don't ask me how Riot exactly knows this. It may just be that there is a preset order. Take it from somebody who plays the same champion over numerous accounts... they go in synch. It's not Random.)

Overall, this one mechanic is arranged to induce more sales for Riot. It's a bit less effective now, since 15 skins are on sale weekly instead of just a few. You can increase your chance of getting the skin that you DO want, by purchasing the less desirable ones in the Store when they come up for sale. (Obviously... because they still need to offer you some remaining skin, and you just removed one of the other options.)
