I think knock up needs clarity

When a champion is knocked up, does their hitbox move with their visual or does it stay where they were knocked up? (For what I know league is still a 2d game and when a champion is knocked up they visually move but hitbox is still on the ground)

If a knocked up champion's hitbox stay on its original spot, I think it need some sort of indicator, because when skillshot is fired toward the champion model it often just goes through them and the opponent can not see where the actual hitbox is.

This clarity issue had really bothered me, rito please fix it. (or maybe I live under a rock and this isn't an issue, if that is the case please inform me in the comment below)

edit: looks like my wording is horrible, let me say it in another way. Basically when a champion is knocked up/jumping/suspended by yasuo ult/held in air by suppression, their hitbox has no visual representation. as many comments have pointed out, it is usually on the ground. but since the champion is knocked up, often skillshots that looks like it hits visually nothing will land on the champion(which causes confuaion), and it is hard for the skillshot user to aim since they can't see the champion's actual hitbox(which indirectly protects the cc'ed champion from taking dmg).

Only moves in the z axis. I don't understand whats troubling you.

He's confused about the hitbox when a champ is knocked up. Either it stays with the champion (therefore making anything fired at the target miss since it goes underneath) or it stays where the champions location would be on the ground (which I think is the answer) resulting in them getting hit by projectiles that technically shouldn't logically hit, but do anyways.

ohhhh thats simple, depends on the ability, for some the ground beneath is the hitbox, for others there is no hitbox until reaches the ground.

because league is a 2d game, and there is no visual representation of the champion's hitbox on the correct x-y coordinate when the champion is knocked uo, making it that many skillshot rhat looks like it should land doesn't and many that looks way off hits.

jumping abilities have the same problem too, abilities like tristana w and khazix e gives a false visual representation of the champion's location, if a skillshot lands the jumping person will be like wtf and if the skillshot misses the skillshot user will also be like wtf

I have no clue what do you mean by 2d game. League uses voxels.

visually, not mathmatically.

Mathematically*?... I feel like you don't know what you are talking about so I will just drop it. No time for this shit.

you are the one who don't know what you are talking about. League visually looks like a 3d game, but all calculation is done as 2d. the calculation of "does skillshot x hits champion y" is done by determining if the AREA of x intersects wirh y. note that it is AREA, not Volume.

an evidence that supports this is the fact that you don't need to select the ALTITUTE when you fore a skillshot, because the HEIGHT of a champion is not involved in the calculation of hitbox.

Unless it's a knock back, their hitbox generally stays in place; there's no Z axis in league. For example a nautilus can grapple a tristana while she's rocket jumping, looks weird but it connects.

another weird one I found is Yasuo's ult suspend. It feels like the hitbox of both yasuo and the suspended champions are neither on the ground or in air.

Yasou is stationary next to his victim during his ult, but I'm unsure which side he's supposed to teleport to; just wait for him to blink then aim a bit below him, and hope to interrupt him before he shreds your teammate.
