Looking for advice, GangPlank vs Fiora

Firstly, I'm GP. Not many issues getting my silver serpents. But it gets to a point where she dives me and there's very little I can do to stop her. Not salty, that stuff left my system hours ago after my mega feed so just looking for any advice peoples can offer :)

Situation: Started alright, was winning early barrel trades, she got an early kill on me at lvl 3 but was unable to utilise it until level 6. My barrels were 1/4 decent for a silver peasant however the instant she hit 6 she hard engaged, got me and from then on her ult dictated my time alive. Felt rather helpless as I've only ever beaten her with gnar and full ap zac (popped her before she popped me) and she was more than willing to dive through both my barrels and ult for tower dives.

Am I supposed to bully her to death early or be super passive? When she hard engages for a proc pre-6, run or fight? Full damage to pop her before she pops me, or full beef? Sapphire crystal a good start? or should I be doing the recommended dorans blade?

Really wanna nail this one so I can stop feeding her when ever I play anyone other than gnar. Thanks in advance to anybody who shares their knowledge. [zombie-nunu-hearts]

You have to play at maximum range, utilizing your barrels as much as possible. Avoid letting her get a hard engage. The only time you really have the advantage is level 1. Back off under tower if you fear the dive, and use your ult to get assists/kills from other lanes.

i saw a video n3ac3y did on youtube a few days ago about fighting lane bully's like renekton that i would assume would help you. he was running manna regen blues i think and just q'ing them whenever he could, that way you can try to get them low enough to where they cant all in you so easy. he also said use your barrels defensively, so you drop one right where you are and when they step forward to trade you pop the barrel to help you do a little better in the trade.

though i don't really play gp so take this with a grain of salt.

no matter what GP does, fiora wins lane. It happens to all ELOs, even in a RedMercy video his team mate (GP) fed the fiora unintent.

any champ that is not ranged will lose vs FIora, unless you go pure armor and thornmail + Frozen/Omen. She is a lane bully, it's what she does. GP being a melee auto attacker makes him easy to get to for her.

Maybe just try to chill at tower and farm while assisting other lanes with your ult when you can. Wait for jg assistance or if that cant happen for a while from other things going on then just try to wait for team fights and when she gets CC'd by someone hit her hard, but try to sneak the enemy ADC or MID.
