About Yasuo. No rant dw.

Been playing new roles as off late to make the game a little bit fun for me cause i got tired of the same shit everyday mostly adc. What i've noticed is that apart the fact everyone and their mother playing yasuo is that even when a yasuo is average mediocre doesnt matter if he gets to the backline he can just WALL out an an entire team. I do believe that his windwall needs some drastic changes cause even tho i like yasuo as a champ i can safely say his wall is BROKEN in a lot of scenarios it just punishes entire teams way wayyy too hard in a lot of occasions . i dunno what you can do to change it but imo it should only block a few projectiles something like Braum shield or something? I believe the hate towards yasuo is not his moblity or his dmg its the WALL itself beeing obnoxius and hard to outplay since you cant really break it . and in late game if a yasuo gets a wall down you cant really walk up infront of it unless you have a HUGE frontliner. that's my 2 cents now that i've experienced a lot more game play VS yasuo and i'm not the one playing him. I dont say his wall is something insane but come late game it's just way too much for a non ultimate ability since it can change the flow of a fight drasticly and its cast time is fast as fuck

I post this message wherever I can as it helps some who are open while also mostly shutting up the Yasuo haters who aren't tl;dr people. Please read this as it talks about your problem.

There are a few tips that people already know about facing a Yasuo; poke his shield off with autos, he's weakest right after his tornado is gone, and he's weak to ganks. I'd like to go into more detail.

The key to beating a Yasuo in lane is proper minion management, and proper management is different depending on whether you're a ranged or melee champion. As a ranged champion, you want to keep the wave in 1 of 2 places depending on Yasuo's health relative to yours. If Yasuo is ahead or even, you want to keep the wave frozen a bit outside of your own tower, so that he has to go into tower range to order to hit you. You can basically do whatever you want to him if the wave is in this spot because you can simply retreat into tower range if he tries to go onto you. However, if you're ahead of him in health, you want to start a slow push, so you can poke him whenever he tries to CS and you'll have a buffer of minion support if he tries to all in you. In this case, he can't do much either.

For a melee champion, you want to slow push pretty much all the time. Yasuo is extremely vulnerable to being all inned by melee champions when he's trying to CS, and a good Yasuo will try to do a slow push of his own to discourage his opponent from attacking him. One important thing to understand is that while enemy minions are oftentimes Yasuo's best friends since he uses them to dash, they are also one of his biggest weaknesses since he's required to tank them in order to trade. If you can bait him into tanking a lot of minions with some kind of defensive ability like an ori shield, you can very easily come out ahead in trades, provided you don't panic, keep autoing, and hit some extra free damage on him when he tries to get out.

Generally speaking, a Yasuo will always want the wave in 1 of 2 places. He either wants a slight minion advantage on his side so he can get free opportunities to poke with Q, but not so many more minions that the wave gets frozen outside the enemy tower. A good Yasuo will bait you into hitting minions with AOE abilities to push the wave back towards him if it starts to get too close to tower, allowing him to be aggressive again. The other position is for when Yasuo has a lead on his opponent; he will want to freeze outside of his tower, leaving a long trail of minions to dash through so he can all in you if you try to walk up to CS. The key to beating Yasuo is to keep the wave where you want it to be rather than the way he wants it to be, or there's not a whole lot you can do as a lot of champions.

Other general tips for beating Yasuo include: Ask for ganks, an aggressive Yasuo player is very easy to bait and kill if he isn't strong enough to 1v2 already. Take exhaust as a combat summoner if your kill pressure on him is low, it’s a great way to neutralize his aggression in lane as well as neuter him in teamfights. If Yasuo misses his tornado, that is the time to be aggressive. His Q is on CD, he has no CC for a while, and his ult, by extension, is unavailable. And if Yasuo gets too aggressive in lane and messes up when trying to trade, all in him right then and there. If you get a lead against Yasuo, most champions will be able to zone him out heavily since he's a squishy melee only champion with no escape and no natural sustain.

do we speak the same languange? i'm not talking about HOW to beat yasuo i know how to dumbster even the best yasuo players. Only talking about his wall beeing obnoxious LATE GAME. early game yasuo is trash unless the enemy has a lot of skillshots for him to dodge. he only really power spikes lvl 2-3 and then lvl 6. then he is good around levels 11-14 where he has his core items and then he is garbage again unless his team has a proper set yp for him.

So, besides a few champs with an early power spike, you just described a lot of champs.

Yasuo does have his moments, but my essay will let you negate those power spikes and make sure they don't happen. If you make him useless, he will never survive late game. Yasuo is kind of a feast or famine champ. He's not horrible, a good Yas will come back, but he is extremely hard to play when behind.

His windwall seems to be the source of your troubles. Just don't unload all of your skills. A good Yas will bait your skills into his windwall.

All in all, his kit is balanced but he has a massive skill cap and is arguably one of the greatest champ design-wise.

you are just talking nonsence atm it's not easy to avoid yasuo windwall without a HUGE frontline to move up. I'm sure as fuck not gonna walk up 600units as an adc/mage to walk through the wall only to get dumbstered by THEIR frontline and he doesnt have to bait his skills its the same thing i do when i pick yasuo i just pick him vs teamcomps who rely on big ass skillshots to change the fight something like Nami/Braum/Syndra(stun) and the list goes on you just shove a wall in their face and let your team melt the frontline and then just kill off the enemy when they dont have a tank and they havent dealt enough dmg since they cant move up further than the wall cause if they do so you will rightfully shred them as yasuo is supposed to do.

Not only could his wall potentially block 5 ults and more from hitting his team but its massive late game on not that short of a cd. that implys his wall is far stronger than many ults. Along with his doulbe crit and infinite dashes, imo hes way to powerful. I believe if his wall was breakable, maybe like 5 projectiles broke it, and then it could scale with rank. Last level it could last for like 10 hits so itd still be strong enouh to block whatever if timed right, but then it was breakable if the team just like all autoed a few times

yeah i'm not even mad with the rest of his kit infact i love playing him and doing weird thing with the enemy camps jumping walls and shit but i do believe his wall is a tad bit too much since it can potentially block over 5k dmg if it gets timed right

Maybe you shouldn't have all of your ranged champs stand directly across from Yasuo. What a strange concept.

sorry mate i'll have my team spread out around the cliffs with sniper rifles next time x) it's called late game don't think a lot of clowns know that adc/midlanes should position near eachother a deal dmg behind their frontline.
