Bringing velkoz from support to mid, what must i really know?
i played over 500 supp velkoz games and now I want him to bring mid, what are most important differences that i really need to know and look out for?

W max(not 100% games) Q mana refund Missed E can result in death 1x1 Enemy jungle ganks are far more dangerous Enemy zed/kata/talon trying to kill you, failing because you play safe, then roaming bot, walking over your wards, getting doublekill and your botlane flaming because you didn't follow
Thought that it was 3 points in w and q max like Morgana? I legit haven't tested it in a few years though I thought this let you kill casters in 2 w's and one q for all the melees.

It's painful to play
in mid when this exists
Ehh, just get used to e-Qing behind yourself when he ults and then sidestep your shurikens
Pretty much this + r when he goes back to his shadow is a free kill. Ganks still suck, but like Anivia, Vel'koz can go even/win this match up if it is left to a pure 1v1.
Probably think about possible matchups and what to do. Safest option will probably always be W max, shove a wave, repeat, possibly poking, joining team in skirmishes/midgame tfs.
Giving a try to glacial is imo good as well.
Banning, I would say, Yasuo, he is imo hardest matchup, you can land E on Zed right after he leave his ult behind you, but Yas can block, except your AAs and R, everything.
I also think that biscuits/time warp tonic/corrupting potion start is really strong.
Good luck.
