On Removing Team Builder...

Riot, you should never do this.

With the new Champion Select, it makes sense for it to replace all Draft-Style Summoner Rift Queues. However for non-draft, Team Builder is THE "Go-To" for low-drama training of new champions and/or specific roles on The Rift. To remove Team Builder is only going to increase the toxicity in normal games, as summoners grow increasingly frustrated at people dodging when they don't get their position, needing to dodge to not play in a situation they don't want to play in (but having no other way to queue appropriately), or the worst case scenario of someone not dodging but caring so little about the game they feed, go afk or otherwise troll the game to hopefully surrender at 20 so the summoner can try again in hopes of getting their desired position.

For all the good you have done in an attempt to lower the MM queue times and toxicity in the community over the past 3 years, You are taking a giant step backward if you follow through with TB's removal for BP queues. It is a terrible idea and whoever thought it was good, they all deserve to be slapped, hard.

As much as I love Team Builder, I really don't see the benefit of keeping Team Builder when the new champion select does the same exact thing for all queues, except better.

If you play Team Builder because you want to play in a specific lane, the new champion select seems to do that quite nicely. You have to choose the two roles you play the most, and will get into a game playing one of those two lanes.

If you play Team Builder because you want to play a specific champion, the new pick intent will let your team know what you want to play so they don't ban it or pick it themselves. In addition, you can choose two lanes where the champion would actually be good in, which is a small step up from the one that Team Builder lets you do now.

Best of all, queue times will also likely be shorter because the queue for Team Builder now will be mixed in with queues for the other normal queues, giving a larger pool of players to put into a game with you and a larger chance of getting into a game in a reasonable time as opposed to getting into 10+ minute waiting times as Diogerquat, waiting for one man who wanted to support, just like Diogenes went out with his lantern to find one honest man.

Also, don't forget that Team Builder is only going to be removed once the new Champion Select goes live, so you still likely have some time to have fun in Team Builder next patch since the new Champion select goes live.

I have to agree that one of the nice things about Teambuilder was you could easily find another group if you didn't like the composition of the one you were in.

The thing about team builder, and why they shouldn't remove it (yet), is that team builder is (effectively) blind pick. New Champ Select doesn't currently apply to blind pick queues, so people who played team builder are losing a gameplay option. When and if New Champ Select does apply to blind pick, it will be fine, but until that happens, the casual playerbase is losing their best and least toxic gameplay option.

I have no interest what so ever in playing any role other than ADC. Why make me pick 2?

I will honestly quit league before I play other roles.

They are going to get a better blind queue going soon, I believe. I wouldn't mind if they held off on getting rid of team builder until then.

On the other hand, they are trying to get the best game to the most players, and if getting rid of team builder makes that happen, so be it. I'm not bothered.

There's still blind pick in bot games if you only want to play a single champ. For most people, draft is just a part of the game. Champ select is part of the experience.

i think the problem with blind pick is that its "get countered" pick. no seriously you play blind pick and your immediately hard countered. especially when you play a role you don't play often.

I want teambuilder back so i can pick an exact position to practice or just play for fun. i just want to play a certain champ so i can end playing for the day but instead i got to keep playing matches til i can actually get my position/champ i want and that might force me to go through 3-4 games sometimes...
