fuqqboi wonder: holy moly we have stuns FoxBonez (WSTD): mf and leona were legit fuqqboi wonder: bruh fuqqboi wonder: we were the set up fuqqboi wonder: the yjust knocked over the pins

Backstory; Been with League since it came out of Beta (Release XZ anyone?) And I haven't played a game of League in literally 15 months (march 15 2016)

Back then the community seemed more toxic, so I didn't like ranked much, but I dabbled in it. I would try to play Top or Jungle because I liked not having to deal with others... I was debatably adequate.

Anyway, came back a day or two ago and said "F- it! Imm'a play support, and put vision down and do what I can to enable the rest of my team to do well. If we lose, w/e, we tried. If we win, that is even Great!!-er"

So I picked up my longtime BAE / Waifu, second to none, Leona, and queued up. I'd be lying if I didn't recognize my first 4 games (and a 5th with a fairly effective troll) as.... rough, very rough . Both for me, and my team making bad calls, but I just kept saying "I can do better, I can get more & better vision down, I can be more of a lane presence, I can help my team make good decisions. Next Game, Do It."

As the rust was knocked off, and I got thankfully somewhat competent lane partners, all of a sudden placing vision became easier, roaming a little more fluid, and near instantly things worked out mostly properly...

I'm still only 8 games in to placements, with plenty of room for improvements, at 4-4, but I went from Cs, to two A+s and an A in my last 3 games. ...And I got to say, that Feels good (Though I'd argue One of the two A+s should be S).

My most recent game though, in the post game lobby I was checking the stats and seeing how I improved, and where I could do a little better, then looked at chat and scrolled up to see two members of my team talking about my lane (Posted at top). And for an 8th game after a 15 month Hiatus, to see that kind of credit given in my direction... Yeah, That feels good, man. That feels REAL Good.

TL:DNR; In closing, now that I've completely jinxed myself to terrible games from here on out, I just wanted to say "Thank You" to my teamates.
Both those that recognized my contributions and skills, and those that just quietly did their jobs next to me, enabling our team to win.

Good Job you bunch of Randos.

Edit - 2nd Post is a real reply, 3rd post is Shout-outs to the people I had my good games with. It seems painfully long, so skip it if you want.

Thought this was gonna be a sarcasm-laden rant.

Glad you're having fun!

And, In the spirit of those Accolades, Shout Outs to my last 3 games, on the off-chance they see it...

First, My Laning Partners down Bottom (Oldest to Newest);

Whalesgoaouao Xarah. My lane Partner for my first A+ game. Wow. You did very well.
And considering I peeked at your match history and noticed you were having a tough time on Xarah in ranked, I was even more honored I could be the back upon which you stood to get that performance, I hope it was vindicating for you. We outlaned Twitch and Cranky (Blitz), and after you got your 2nd or third back, we just cut through them. Then, when we started roaming, the rest of the enemy team fared no better.

Markollo Ashe. It was a solid experience laning with you. You adapted to the harass well and we ended up outlaning Caitlinn/Zyra. No small feat. Good Job.

DelicateCanonbal MF. Honestly, I was a little worried how I'd pair with MF, and there were a few minor kinks in playstyle, but you knew how to follow-up & support my harass well enough early game so we managed to eventually take control of the lane.
Mid and Late Game though.... I kept having heart-attacks. I'd go in and see my teams health drop, and I thought it would be a wipe, and all I was doing was trying to lock some champs down to let the rest of the team get out, and then I'd see you plant your feet, hear that laugh, and the enemy team that I was locking down just melted. It was definitely an experience. Very Good Job, it was a pleasure.

Next up, Top; BruceTheVeteran Yorick. You had trouble against Pantheon Top. You're not the first, lol.
But you didn't give up or tilt, and as it got into team fights, you had solid damage output, and good laning and zoning plays. You definitely contributed to turning team fights to our team's favor.

Buckin Fuddy Galio. You were making calls in chat, and were usually pretty good at it - and for the most part, the team fell in line and made it work.
Some of your Team Fight Ults were a lot of fun too.

Boneless Toppy (Top Poppy). You had a rough game on Poppy, I've been there - she was my primary top last year.
You showed you have good mechanics with her, probably better than me (I knew how to position, but getting there was frequently difficult), but I guess you've never experienced playing with a Leona much to know how she harasses and bullies champions, so you got frustrated with me at one point.
Just because she goes in, in a 1v1 or 2v2, doesn't mean she's going "All In" and you have to dive. If you don't like the engage, she can usually walk out no worse for wear, she is the epitome of Tank-dom(me) when she builds Tanky.

On To Mids; Maxum123 Oriana. Damn, you were a solid Mid, with amazing damage.
More Importantly, I appreciated your assistance when I went in, or was chasing down stragglers. Thumbs Up (Wo?)Man.

Covfefe Vel'Koz. You did pretty good. A couple odd decisions, but nothing that set the team back, and you could do your job of putting damage out, and securing kills.

Fuqboi Wonder Ekko. Not sure... but it seemed you struggled early? When we hit mid-game though, you went online and could put out very good damage, and we were chaining team-fight stuns.
It was also very nice seeing you cut down people I was locking down

Last, my Jungle Reps;

BreakingFade Rek'Sai. You seemed to have an internal struggle. You were playing adequately, but not up to your personal standards and we've all been there man. In general though, Zoning a Jungle Vi, and Support Cranky away from the Baron Pit (and any team engage in the pit) will tend to be far more valuable then any damage or tanking I could do to Baron in the pit. I had to trust that the rest of you could handle the 4v2, if the rest of the enemy team decided to suicide dive the pit.

Yappah Yi. You have an unorthodox style, but I can't argue it wasn't effective, and you backdoored some turrets quite well. Good job.
Minor, Hopefully Constructive, Criticism - when you have a team-mate with both teleport, and a semi-global ult that gets them into the fight quickly, and they say they will go clear a lane, Don't argue the call.
It's more overall effective, should the rest of the team find themselves in a fight - The missing member is literally in the fight within 5s, instead of having to wait for the missing member to run across the map and possibly be zoned out of the engage.

Foxbonez You had a good WW game, though I imagine Top and Mid kept you busier than you preferred, and TY for the recognition

Geez. Hope my follow-up post doesn't turn people away... /shrug Wish I could hide it all in a drop-down to make it easier.

Leona legitimately gets very little ire from her team. And because she covers so many weaknesses in low elo (tanks? cc? engage? peel?) people already like you in champ select. I consider her a bad gauge for league's toxicity, but I appreciate your positive message.

Update! Finished my placements, went B in a loss & A in a win, for a record of 5-5. Placed Bronze 1, which is better than I expected. I'm not going to argue with the algorithm if it indicates I probably belong in Silver, but my first 4.5 games were plain not-good and bring my total score down, lol.
