My current rank is Silver 1 50lp, I'm so close to gold. :>) It makes me nervous. Here are my questions: What effect does my current rank have on placements in Season 6? Do you still get free wins if you get to Gold5 promos and lose? How many?

DingleNutsMcGee1 votesthe next season takes your last seasons ranking into effect when you do your 10 placement games. so if you end at gold 5 this year....if you do fairly well in your placements in season 6, youll get placed somewhere pretty close to that. usually anywhere from silver 2 (maybe silver 3) to gold 5. its kinda rare, in my experience, to start off next season where you left off the past season. usually you get dropped a division or 2 and have to climb back up, just so you prove you originally deserved that ranking in the first place. and as for the free wins, yes you get them. and as to how many, it depends on how many times you get into gold and then drop back out.

ThePartyLeader1 votesRanking does not effect season 6. Mmr does so my understanding is the difference between silver 1 and gold won't matter since it will use your mmr. Winning does increase your mmr though. So next season when you play your first match your mmr will be( (season 5 mmr+1200)/2) Promo helper gives you 1 free win if you have been in those promos before up to gold 1. So it will not help you get to plat 5 or higher.
At least this is my current understanding.
