Why did Amumu or Lux need a buff?

They flat out write reasoning in the patch notes.

Just because they write "reasoning" doesnt mean it makes sense. We all know its a bunch of fluff anyway.

amumu didnt really need a buff so much as he needed kit changes. while it helps amumu early which is where he was severely weak at its more of a change to make him funner/more engaging to play

They literally didnt change anything about his kit at all. You DO nothing different in the game, but now you get thousands of true damage. How does it make him funner or more engaging?

its a QoL fix since hes being hit in the tank rework. his old passive was barely ever proced

Amumu wasn't really a good pick lately, so buffing him a bit might have brought him back to the light.

Lux on the other hand? Unneccessary buff. If anything they should rework how her E works, giving it some counterplay outside of mobility spells.

If they wanted to buff her, I'd far prefer a slight change to her W (i.e. increased projectile speed or allowing her to move while casting) or +5 MS (since it was previously nerfed).

The buff to her ultimate is boggling.

Amumu needed to have his identity more properly cemented and give his kit more cohesiveness. Lux on the other hand is just Riot throwing shit at the wall to stir the pot for no reason.

Amumu was doing bad, the only good thing he had was killing raptors fast. Lux I don't know.

Anyone who asks why Amumu needed buffs clearly hasn't been playing Amumu. No one really has, for reason, hence a buff. Lux hasn't seen a great deal of play either, but was in a better place than Amumu. Lux's buff is really not as big as many people are making it out to be though.
