like there is ZERO back and forth in this game except on rare occasions in where both teams are complete brainless monkeys and let the game drag on for 70 mins. games are complete stomps win or lose, and competitive games should NEVER look like that when you are suppose to be playing against players of "equal" skill level.

There is something you can do to prevent snowballing. It requires a lot of patience and restraint, but it can be done.

Step 1: Don't die.

.

Okay seriously, snowballing only happens if you let it. Sometimes you just got to play safe, but more importantly, play smart. If you're a scaling champion, even if you die later on, the gap between you and them is at least not that big, or sometimes still even in your favor.

You can't take risks against snowballly champs like Kat or Yasuo. Don't be afraid to fall back and not die than to stay for 50 more xp and giving them 300 gold.

someone hast to die eventually, and the one that gets the kill has a gigantic advantage. if you are 0/2 you are out of the game unless jg hard camps, and if you try to camp a 2/0 Illaoi top you run the risk of getting 1v2ed and she is now 4/0. snowballed

To fall behind that badly from such an early death and let them constantly kill you like that is usually the person's own fault. Ask for a gank before squid lady hit 6, build an item that hurts specifically them (Executioner in this particular example), just play smart. Don't make constant mistakes, or at the very least, learn from those mistakes.

Sounds like low ELO problems.

The higher you go, the less out of control snowballing gets, due to people learning better damage control. It only really gets silly again in pro play, due to the minimal skill differences and lack of common strategic errors.

Snowballing getting reduced is almost always a good thing

Not sure how it could be done though.

300g is 300g of items that will be used to further kill you, not to mention cs and xp loss.

I feel like snowballing is worst on champions that can retreat easily such as ranged champions. At least with melee champions you can always just cc them down and kill them
