Could we limit lethality?
The problem I'm currently facing is that many already squishy champions are essentially taking true damage from every fighter and their grandma. (And the occasional full Lethality hecarim) So what I propose to help deal with the current and rather cancerous meta is to limit lethality against base armor.
What do I mean? Either make it only apply half or not at all to base armor. It will still do it's job against champions who have limited bonus armor or those who get extra from their various runes/kits (
) but at the same time it won't decimate poor little marksmen and mages.
(That and possibly put a damn limit of 40-50 lethality, my gosh.)

Randuin's Ninja tabi, GA, BC is a very standard build for him using 4 items. That build provides +150 armor to darius. Base armor is 29.9 + 4 per level, + 9 from runes. 39 + 4x14 = 95 base armor, + 150 from items so 245 armor at level 15. You shred 30% of that total armor, so 171 armor, then you shred about 50 armor pen so 121 armor is what you are hitting him for. You spent 12k gold to hit him for MORE armor than he has base, and he spent 6400 to counter that completely. I didn't even factor in the BC's gold because its irrelevant it doesn't give him armor. Even if you include runes and mastery which gives you roughly 73 armor pen, and you get full value at level 18 you are still hitting him a though he had 103 armor, which is about equal to his base armor level 18 + runes. ------ Note this math may not be perfect but it should be good enough to get the point across that armor is the counter to lethality not the other way around.
