Every game is 100% decided by which team has more players playing like they belong in Silver, and the exact same thing happened last season. This is really stupid. Why isn't this being improved?
What part of the skill level at Diamond V, up to Diamond III, being all over the board, is working as intended? There are legitimately players in Silver who are better than some of these people.

There's nothing 'hard' about it when no single person has any positive impact on the outcome of the game. The best you can do is consistently not throw the game, and hope you have less team mates playing like shit than the other team.

maybe you should get good? and have an impact. Be the hammer that nails in your teams victory. Cant carry that?? throw away everything you think you know about carrying a game and re-learn how to carry the game.

Except that's not how it works at Diamond. Bottom lane just went 0-8-0 before I even hit level 6 as Ahri.

do the dynamic queue thingy and literally have a bot lane you can trust, that should help.

It's annoying having a diamond midlaner and a wood carry. I'd rather have everyone be at my ELO (silver-ish).

It doesn't matter, this exact problem was true for 100% of last season. At no point did it fix itself, it only got worse as the season went on.

I didn't have cases where my midlaner was 6/0/2 by ten minutes and my ADC sitting at 13 CS by the same time like I had earlier.

GamblerOfLives1 votesyou are wrong man...sure d5 it's a tilting elo full of bad players..but, if you can carry them you are good..in S5 i hit D4 almost D3...was constantly in D5 or D4..but, in this elo, it's all about rotations;)..not taking stuff when you can , it's really bad..
John Viande1 votesSo exaggerated as always. The truth is closer to some D5 players have skill level ranging from P3-P1 because they got on a lucky winning streak to reach D5. Players in D4 and above deserve their ranking.
This is also true for S5, G5, and P5, but since it is harder to improve once we reach D5, players feel the problem occur only at that division.
AninLegions7771 votesYeah D5 is always like that thanks to elo-boosted players and players who just play so they won't decay. The truth is, if you really want to progress, play champs that get out of hand easily. Take Xin, Udyr, Tryndamere and LB. Don't aim for kills, just push. Trust me, you'll progress fast.
Note: If you stay a long time in D5, your LP gain will go to shit so you better hurry.
bvcderrttyyhjjjk1 votesI feel like it's like that everywhere. I started in Bronze two years ago. Then went all the way to mid gold last season. Played in full plat and diamond lobbies in normals with a clan. In every division there are people who seem to have no clue what they are doing regardless of their elo, and there are people that maybe don't have great mechanics, but play with a brain.
I find this to be the worst flaw of this game. The ranking system is just all over the place. No matter where you are on the ladder, you will always get people that seem to not have a clue how to play the game. It still blows my mind to this day. I am by no means the best player ever, but I never feed horribly, or go AFK, or go alone vs 5 people. I always perform at least decently. And I just don't understand how people manage to do incredibly Bronze 5 plays in pretty much every division I have ever seen...

Platinum III to Diamond V in two days with 80% win rate, now it's up and down from 0 to 100 LP, because personal skill no longer has any positive impact.
