Let me expand on this. ANY item that lets you one shot wards is toxic and should NEVER be allowed in this game. Assassins already have enough safety without this item. They don't need more.
It was implemented because Duskblade had too much going for it at the time. So Duskblade lost one of its passives and Glaive was made to allow players the option of keeping the power that Duskblade provided but at an added gold cost.
It was a good balance decision in my opinion. And those seldom happen.
I don't mind utility on assassin items. Anything to push power budget away from low counterplay 100-0 kills is welcome. Assassins need to be able to offer something else to their team, and Umbral Glaive does.
You know putting this passive on another item, i.e reducing an assassin's overall damage if they decide to go utility is a good thing... right?
