Mage Update Feedback

Riot, I think you guys did a great job with most of the mages! I think the changes to Zyra will really improve her game, if she still retains a lot of her burst from before, and I like the Malzahar changes a lot to! Vladimir looks fantastic as well, and I hope he'll start ro shine top lane! The only one I have concerns about is Cassiopeia, as the inability for her to buy boots means she loses access to the Sorcerer's Shoes and the spell penetration they offer. Otherwise, I love her new kit changes and the removal of that horrible stacking passive! Good job guys, and especially Stashu, who learned from his mistakes and really brought his champions up to speed in a great way!

That is a good point on Cass.. I'm also still a little annoyed with the burst risk for AD because they get armor pen and mages have nothing to counter that.

Well, maybe a future item will fix it? Also, Esme and Nanny are some of my favorite book characters EVER. Props to you for the name :D

(Thank you, I absolutely love the Pratchett world!)

I'm hoping they fix it or do something about armor pen on the AD line. It's sort of unfair that they have all those items that counter magic but mages only have hourglass which offers 45 armor. The seekers armgaurd really needs to have better stats to deal with the things that run along the lines of maw. Plus even though it's supposed to have a stacking mechanic.. I never really feel more powerful for having built it. I'm all for drawbacks but it seems like AD champs are running very low on weaknesses to anything that isn't another AD champ.

It will be just fine... we traded it for another item slot.

Actually Stashu had nothing to do with this new Cass rework to my knowledge.

That's all RiotRepertoirs handiwork.

He was the one who reworked Vladimir, and according to his post about the direction they wanted to go in, he stated some lessons he learned from past reworks that he would not repeat, which were very clearly things he did on Shurima Cassiopeia. Given that Vlad looks pretty great, I'd say he's come a good way.

I don't think Vladimir is gona shine on top lane... They heavily nerfed his Q (even under kassadin Q dmg)... To get ompowered Q on opponent while skirishing on lane, you need to cast Qs before and than cast third in 2.5 sec window.. none above silver is gona let you do that.. so, in the end, vladimir extra weak early dmg is gona be even weaker.. and everyone with gap closer will totaly destroy you... like irealia.. rene.. riven.. etc... He will be stronger in TF with thta new E.. but his lane, just from look on it, seems so weak right now, there not even be any lategame because he won't have power to actualy survive it.
