Settle the fuck down. If problems are still there as the beginning of Season 6 looms around the corner, then go ahead and write your threads about how horrible Riot's balancing is. But for now, chill the fuck out.

Isnt this a feedback board? I thought people were supposed to "discuss" those "problems" here?

Ralanr4 votes

Except all the problems aren't even on the public servers. So far people are complaining about what's on paper.

Penns5 votes

Well things can already be broken on paper. But I agree that you shouldnt call something too strong/ weak too fast. Darius #redditknowsbalance https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evjn7_tMRd4

Paper and practice are two different things.

why isn't this everywhere and HOW do you have downvotes?

Well the whole point of the PBE is for feedback. Complaining about stuff before it's on the live server is what stops stuff getting on the live server. As long as people are saying "I don't like this" rather than acting as if the game has already been destroyed by something that hasn't happened yet, I think it's fine.

Ralanr1 votes

As long as it's not extreme, then fine.

DeynaTaggerung1 votes

Yeah...that's why there's a PBE board for people actually playing on the PBE

Kitsuki051 votes

the PBE actually has it's own forums for people to post issues. If anyone has concerns about the state of balance based on changes in the PBE, those concerns should be placed there.

here is the problem most of the complaints are about unhealthy mechanics being removed, i hope riot doesn't take them seriously and keep going in the current Quinn direction, heck when Irelia gets her pass i guarantee you will see massive wtf rito don't remove my win when losing button! its balanced honest! we swear!

"It's only the PBE, it's not final!"

Oh, I've heard this so many times...

Slamurai Jack4 votes

Obviously the general concept is going to stay but the numbers have plenty of room for fine tuning, especially since it's the pre-season. The Season 5 preseason saw massive adjustments before the season actually started.

Wheatloaf1 votes

We saw quite a few things unceremoniously removed in their entirety last time around, if I'm not mistaken.

Sire Hippington3 votes

thats the thing, numbers get changed but the concept stays. Now if the concept is the issue, we have a problem, and this preseason has quite some conceptual issues to me, mostly with the itemchanges, and not numberchanges would change that...(RNG)

So if we want a change(or more a un-change in this case), we have to speak up early to have atleast a small chance on influenceing anything.

You mean like the Riven Edge mechanic, or the mandrake ward, or the abyssal scepter that pulses damage all around you every few seconds?

Rozzeta11 votes

What the fuck are you saying? How are they going to receive feedback if you say nothing? Reception of changes is as important as the changes themselves.

Guy Fox Teemo5 votes

See, but most of the feedback is terrible, probably pressuring Riot into Nerfing/Buffing, certain things. COUGH Juggernauts COUGH. They haven't even tested the changes and are already complaining. TEST FIRST, before making dumb statements.

Out of all 4 Juggernauts, only Garen and Skarner came out OP as a result of player feedback. Darius was UP on re.release, and Morde had nothing to do with community. After first change, Garen and Scarner were toned down, Darius became OP due to buffs community complained about before they hit live, Morde stayed the same because he was perma banned and they didn't have the data to make the adjustments. What did people complain the most? level gaining as solo laner in dual lane, which is the same thing being nerfed on his kit.

Community is not the best at guessing the effect of the changes, but unfortunately Riot isn't as well, even though they have a lot of thata and that internal testing we know nothing about.

In fact, over the years I have seen Riot implementing new things to the game which I had seen loong before in board treads by community. Some of the ideas currently implemented in the game, like ward limits to end vision wars, were suggested long before by the community and, at the time, shut down by Riot as unviable.

Sire Hippington4 votes

way wrong attitude. IF we don't complain about what feels wrong for us now, it will certainly not be adressed. History already shows that Riot is very, very hesitant on reverting changes once they hit pbe if it's beyond some number-tweaking. IF we want to have a chance for our worries to be heard and haveing riot react to them, we have to speak up now. If we wait till preseason is over, nothing will get changed for sure.

OverpoweredSoap4 votes

People are confusing bitching and moaning with constructive feedback.

"But how else do they get feedback if I don't call them trash at balance and that Riot never knows what the fuck their doing???"

Easy, you explain why items/reworks are too strong or weak without cussing them out every sentence.

Wyrmblade3 votes

PBE is up now, this is the best possible time to give feedback so changes can go through before the patch gets shipped out.

youre essentially asking us only to say something when its too late.

there are a bunch of changes that are outright stupid and push an already strong class of champions way too far. like why the fuck is every ad item in the game change to adc specific.

look at the maw changes and give me a good reason what was wrong with the item. it was good for everyone, even adc when they wanted to counter some magic burst.

why in the world are they slapping attack speed and lifesteal on the thing?

why the +5 ad? marksmen are already getting buffed in every possible way through their kit and their lategame itemization. and theyre making their early game stronger wtf is the point of that.

imagine garens early game would have been buffed with the juggernaut patch instead of all around nerfed, while he was mandatory every game. thats the dimension of buffs thats happening here.

marksmen are already strong. theyre buffing them early and late.

If you want to question some of their choices, then please, go for it. That's what preseason before. But the key word here is "question" and questioning implies being open to receiving an answer and a willingness to change one's mind is that answer is reasonable. But lots of people aren't here to really talk about the changes; they're here to "discuss" them. And by discuss, I mean circlejerk about how retarded Riot is. I for one question removing so many stats from Triforce and I also question nerfing so many of the non-adc items, but I'm not going to pretend that all the numbers on the PBE are what is going to hit 6.1. I'm willing to give Riot the benefit of the doubt for now. Key word being, for now. If Graves jungle is rocking a 57% win rate right before the season starts, I'm gonna have something to say. We'll need a few weeks on live servers to see just how all this stuff pans out. Until then, I'm withholding judgement.

Yea sure, let´s just wait till it´s too late to complain (and past experience has shown that most of the times unfortunatly it´s already too late once stuff hits the PBE for the first time)...

Past experience showed that you guys don't work for riot for a reason the only thing anyone know boards knows is how to bitch moan and complain instead of learning counterplay

On the other hand, Riot has been doing this for, what i would say is, a pretty long time, for a game that is, and I would expect them to be able to anticipate issues much more efficiently. They shouldn't keep having the "oh crap, what did we do" moments ever preseason.

Wheatloaf1 votes

Nobody's streaming PBE right now ;-;

Shame, I was so focused on hating world's because I could honestly careless about it and all these eports related posts. That I completely forgot how idiotic posts become around preseason. Shame on me.

THANK YOU. All these fucking babies acting like ADC's don't deserve a rework. It's like they forget other ADC's exist besides Vayne, Jinx, Tristana.

RottedApples1 votes

no. this is a horrible philosophy.

If something is bad or you think something might be bad then you have the right to bring it up right away. I trust riot enough to at least wait for data before changing things but you HAVE to bring this stuff up now so it's at least a known concern.

This is a place for feedback and feedback is something i will give.

I think that Riot is making way too many changes in itemization so far. However, we haven't actually seen these items in action, and there is still plenty of time before Preseason actually starts, so I think that waiting to see if Riot actually can fix any mistake they make is the best course of action.
