That item 3151 just need a entire new recipe: item 1026 + item 3108 (100 AP, 10% CDR; 2400 gold). These stats would make a lot more sence & the cheaper price would make it more in line for a situational item.

As for item 3136:

  • item 3136 + item 2053 (perfect item for a toplane mage)
  • item 3136 + item 3067 (support item here whe come)

Thank you yes. No one cares about a dot that literally does 0 damage. It's good for ticking off 11-23 at the BEGINNING of a lvl 18 teamfight. Where you have XXXX hp and not XXX.

Thryale2 votes

take my upvote good sir, this needs more visability.

I really like yer suggestions for haunting guise, but I feel that they'd be too good if they provided any meaningfully high stats simply because they provide so many.

I think a better combo for toplane would be: item 3136 +item 3191

This way you wouldn't be forced to shoe horn in the point runner passive and you wouldn't be stuck with really low ap+hp/5+armor+hp+mr pen

EDIT: also, another idea for the top lane, item 1011 +item 3136 This'd be great on someone like rumble, or any mage really. Heck, I could even see this being a great new build path for Rylais. Lower the ap it gives, and instead increase the hp. Perfect for that ap bruiser that wants to stick tight.

Thx,

item 3136 + item 2053 indeed feels a little bit overloaded the originaly idea was to change it to item 2053 + item 1026. Maybe it's better todo it like this. item 3136 + item 3191 feels indeed more suitable.

item 3136 + item 1011 as new recipe for item 3116 I saidly have to add a question mark. Previously it had 80 AP & 500 Health. Till they changed it back to 100 AP & 400 Health. But this mean it isn't worth testing.

So to give an overview on all our new suggestions:

  • item 3151 = item 1026 + item 3108 (100 AP, 10% CDR; 2400 gold)
  • ITEM A = item 3136 + item 3067 (30 Ability Power, 450 Health, 10% CDR, Passive Eyes of Pain; 2500 gold
  • ITEM B* = item 3136 + item 3191 (65 Ability Power, 60 Armor, Passive Eyes of Pain; 3200 gold)
  • ITEM C = item 2053 + item 1026 (80 Ability Power, 50 Armor, 100% Base Health Regen, Passives; 2600 gold)
  • item 3116 = item 3136 + item 1011 (40 Ability Power, 600 Health, Passive Eyes of Pain, Passives; 2800 gold)

#Notes

  • Item A needs a good active that can be used for support (some time ago someone suggested something similar to Leblanc passive)
  • Item B need a power active/passive to make the item worth it's price for a toplane mage item. I kept the AP value low for that same reason.
  • Item C need an active/passive that's is worth building the item for. Price probaly need to go up depending how strong the active/passive is.
  • Changing item 3116 is a really big question mark. But worth testing.

Why the down votes? Eve's ULT doesn't have a min damage.

Something something AP item bias —coughs—

Because Liandry's is a DoT.

FantasySniper1 votes

Versus a DPS that occurs more often than the DoT?

Versus a DPS that occurs more often than the DoT?

The point is that Liandry's could still kill after you've both disengaged if it had a minimum damage, but BoRK can't. If BoRK's passive is dealing damage, you're also dealing damage with your auto attacks at the same time. Liandry's keeps doing damage after you've stopped attacking them.

FantasySniper1 votes

Granted, there's a lot less risk in DoTs and abilities in general, because you just have to slap it on, but it's a double edged sword where it leaves you without the output that DPS has as well as the presence and resulting safety.

RavenMagus3 votes

Here's an even better question.

Why doesn't Eve's ultimate have a minimum damage?

She's an assassin, for crying out loud.

ChaosThief1 votes

So you don't save your ult for last, probably. Second, why wouldn't you use the ult first is the real question.

RavenMagus1 votes

Because you just got to the fight, the enemy carry flashed away over a wall and got away at 50 hp, and you realize you're the only assassin in the game whose ranged damaging ultimate cannot kill an enemy squishy at 50 hp.

Obviously it's better to use the ulti first. Adding in a base damage or minimum damage won't change that at all - but it will get rid of that one frustration.

ChaosThief1 votes

Yes not having a base damage is bad, but it is a current health attack. Sure it could use a small amount, but even then, HOW SMALL?

Treyen2 votes

people still buy that trash item? I think brand is the only one i would build it on and even then I just get the haunting guise early and upgrade to liandry as like 5th or 6th item. I doubt it really does much even then but early haunting guise is good enough that i don't feel too bad about it.

because you can't farm to save your life? Sorry bird man, but yer ult is super unintelligent when it comes to last hitting, and if you aren't maxing your only source of CC to wave clear, yer pretty boned. So building luxury items like Liandri's just isn't for you, man. Soz. :(

I like the ideas on here. What would rito think about adding new haunting guise items and changing/buffing liandries?

IcyPepper2 votes

Pretty sure it does. Unless your target is at 1 health (in which case your spells would kill 'em anyway), it probably does at least 1 damage a second minimum. But in order to hit that low, your target would have to be about 50 health, in which case you should realistically be able to finish them off. Liandries is about softening up high hp tanks, not shredding them (that's the adc's job).

So why in the fuck doesn't item 3151 ?!?!?!

I think it has, because sometimes i see burning minions die, and i get the money.

Myozthirirn5 votes

Thats a bug with butchers mastery, it aplies to basically any damage you deal to minions even when it shouldnt. Giving an effective 2 minimun damage if you got it.

Angry Monster1 votes

its 10.....

that not alot

FantasySniper33 votes

And 0 is so much more.

Thryale5 votes

actually, 10 dmg is quite a bit. that is exactly one long sword's worth of ad on an ad champ.

so you can now effective say bork's gives a champ 35 ad (minimum) instead of 25 + %hp proc. Especially since the proc now applies lifesteal. The only thing you don't really benefit from now are crits.

Angry Monster1 votes

Comparing it to a long sword when you have spent 2500 is sorta meaningless. Like u said it does not crit and the active is the execute anyways.

It's not a big deal

Thryale1 votes

since when is 10% max hp considered an execute?

Angry Monster1 votes

how is 10% MAX hp not an execute? You ever play twitch?

Captain Aishi1 votes

an execute is any ability that deals increased damage based on how much health your opponent is missing, so %max HP damage is not an execute at all

Thryale1 votes

because it does consistent dmg no matter when you use it. On top of the fact that once you factor in armor, you are doing even less dmg. and let's not also forget that a full health champ will take very similar dmg to the passive from bork as he would the active.

executes are meant to grow in power as the enemy has less hp, like garen's ult, riven's ult, and jinx's ult.

Erockandroll1 votes

10 damage minimum when the passive deals 8% current health damage. you would have to be down to your last 150 HP for that to really matter. And an ADC could do that much with a single shot late game, even without BotRK.

I think the bigger change is the applied life steal to it's passive, It will give ADC's more healing and more dueling power when fighting tanks. (not that I think a ADC should duel a tank.)

p.s. Liliandra's torment's problem is not having any Scaling. While BotRK's tank shredding ability scales well with attack speed, the only way you can significantly bolster Liliandra's is with the slow from a Rylie's Crystal scepter. Though Riot might have done this intentionally thinking mage's shouldn't be the major tank shredder in the team.

Skia Asteri1 votes

It might, but that mastery that reduces damage from champions by 2 (1 if ranged) may negate it if it is really small.

AetherKingdom1 votes

Because you can leave with Liandries and still do damage. No one wants cass to q you at 40% health and then walk away and then you die because liandries got procced like 3 times.

yukonl1 votes

The item was not meant for finishing off low health targets.

It was meant for increased damage against tanks, which it's still pretty bad at doing so.

Bârd1 votes

Because Liandrys only happens once a second.

On most champions who build BORK, it can happen up to 2.5 times in one second.
