So "champion damage" that doesn't break a shield won't get you an assist or stop a recall...

But it'll stop the item 3083 passive?

What is this inconsistency?

Coding for getting hit with a shield is just stupid in general frankly. It's inconsistent, and makes no sense. Kayn "had a glitch" where he could ulti someone if he only did damage to their shield. So they "fixed the glitch" and stopped him from marking people when he only did shield damage. Next patch they remove that because it's dumb and people complained, yet here we are months after Rek'sai changes and that's still a thing with her ulti marking system her, unless I missed the patch that changed it. (Edit: I did, but it was still like that for a few months)

Honestly getting hit should just count as getting hit no matter what. Shield are good enough, why do they need random bonus perks.

It also draws minion aggro, which is dumb.

Janna shielding a tower gives her the kill when some one tries to get executed

League of shields!

funny thing is that shields did protect the passive untill the tank-update hit. They are not just inconsistent with shield-interaction between different mechanics, they are even inconsistent on the same thing....

Silence also had all kinds of weird interactions.

For example, if Xerath has already started his Q, then is silenced (at least by Soraka) he can still cast it. But if Jhin is silenced while casting his ult, he is immediately kicked out of his ult.

The thing about this is, Warmog's passive triggers some time after you're out of combat. Being hit immediately puts you IN combat, taking damage or not, you're in combat, thus, ending Warmog's passive. On the other hand, Shields prevent damage from being registered, and so, if you didn't do any damage, you don't get an assist and you can't stop a recall. Recalls don't require you to be out of combat to start the channel, it's just interrupted by incoming damage, thus, if no damage is taken, the recall isn't interrupted. Simple, isn't it?

It also won't stop minions from auto attacking you. This is easiest to see when you try to get Yasuo's shield off.

Patch notes in season 5 said "fixed a bug where shields were protecting recallers". This was never reverted. It's probably a bug that it's working again (and it's only working with certain shields).

Dmg on a shield should count as an assist and it should alway be this way. It is kinda dumb if you break a janna shield for your team and no assist or someone dive you under turret you still break his shield and he die that you gain nothing.

Think about how often adcs recall vs how often they buy warmogs.

Not a marksmen item in this league of marksmen. Indirect and direct nerfs.

They also grant assists even if the shield takes no damage iirc. Granted only (iirc) Face of the Mountain and Locket shield with no other "bonus" effects that would warrant an assist. It seems odd that just using Face of the Mountain on someone as they throw their last auto attack to kill someone running away (and thus not hitting back to damage the shield) means you deserve an equal part of money that a 3rd person who did 95% of the targets health did (in which case your ADC snipes the last 5% the second you shield them).
