@Meddler, Malzahar idea that might worth a play test

**Passive: Reverted ** 4 spells summon a voidling 21sec duration, 7 second buff increments, auto-taunting, exc. No AP scaling

Q: Call of the Void Untouched

W: Void Shift Active: Malzahar phases into the void for 1.5 seconds. While phased out, Malzahar is immune to crowd control effects and takes 70/75/80/85/90% reduced damage. Malzahar's voidlings follow him into the void, tunneling to their current target dealing (60% AP per voidling) when they reemerge. (no base damage) Can be used while channeling.

E: Malefic Visions Scaling increaed, maybe 90%. Bring it back to a more core part of AP malzahar.

R: Nether Grasp Honestly, conceptually it's fine.

Having played Malzahar a lot pre-patch and post-patch, i feel this would help him feel a little more like the old malzahar, something a good number of people are still not happy about, but also keep some of the kit changes. Obviously i don't think the numbers are going to be perfect, but this an attempt to mechanically addresses multiple rough patches of the current version of Malzahar .

  • It would differentiate the AP and AD game play again.
  • It would help with his, nearly impossible to balance extremely safe, jungle.
  • It keeps his voidling relevant to AP.
  • It also lets you keep the visual portion of the update.

Else on behalf of a number of now Ex-Malzahar mains. "We demand sacrifice!" --Malzahar

It's not a bad idea, as long as malefic visions base damages are kept low, so that the scaling is viable. My only problem is that I wonder how long the cooldown for void shift would be, since taking damage wouldn't reset it.

Otherwise this would be good as it would make jungle malzahar as balanced as it used to be, and the voidlings could survive a shot from turrets for seiging (One of the reasons I liked to go AD as malz)

Well really the CD on void shift is probably not as big of an issue as you think. It offers very little to the actual power of the champion, outside of a utility standpoint, so most would probably opt to max it last. So even if you only gave it maybe a 10, or 8, second CD at max rank. If it started at around 25 seconds at rank 1, then it would probably stay there for most of the game.

Though i could be wrong, and people might max Q last, or maybe both would be reasonable second options, and it would depend on the enemy team comp.
