So wait do people actually give proper feedback on new releases in the PBE?

It seems like this fiasco got out of hand with Sated Devourer, Runeglaive, etc. Are these items properly tested and anything actually addressed or is the PBE full of just numbnuts goofing off with whatever? I've not used PBE myself, but lots of complaints seem to happen after the patch and things aren't addressed on the PBE before release.

The PBE does not have nearly a large enough player base to properly balance champions. They need feed back from the live servers. Also players tend to take PBE less seriously.

PBE isn't good for balancing, but it works for testing for bugs. In Software development terms, all Beta tests (hence PBE) is made to search for bugs. And to do this, the Beta testers do everything they might find useful in testing a particular item, which may not always be the most Broken in terms of Balancing.

So, RIot just ignores everyone?

Cause that's basically what you said.

It seems with each new patch Riot bugged something new. And it just doesn't fucking stop. SERIOUSLY guys get your combined shits together. Im sick of having to play the "What did Riot break this time" game after every freaking patch.

I'm still curious about what bug your talking about? I don't recall any major bugs with Sated Devourer. Or are we talking about the bug fix to RuneGlaive?

It possible that the beta tester's weren't given a complete detailed instruction on what to test. Or riot didn't have an exact idea how they want their item to interact.

But unless you have a PBE account, Don't speak for them about not listening to the people. And don't freaking knock anything until you try it on live. It's like the PBE sights make everyone panic before they actually try the dang patch.

More recent? The ward bug, and Zed.

Than their was the Riven bug, the resell bug, the no healthbar bug(which still exist), amongst a few others that happened before I really got into league.

Although their hasn't been an issue with Sated Devoure, nor did I say their was, their might be later.

A beta tester should test as much as they can to give the best possible feedback..

Do a better job!

don't beat the Beta testers too hard. Riot doesn't pay them to test, they mearly give them neat things on their PBE account to play like a sand box, and tell riot when they broke their toy.

Seriously though, the PBE is completely voluntary, and can't really be held accountable. Also for specific known bugs, these beta testers would need an entire list of things to try, just to recreate that bug. You might be able to blame riot for not giving them a detailed instructional manual. Alternatively, Zed, ward, whatever may have already been found by the PBE, or by the live servers, and riot is quickly implementing a hot fix for it, which is why the items is disable, Because the fix is being implemented.

Oh come on,it's not like the PBE players can find & report every possible bug before it go live.Like Erock said, the PBE playerbase is much small than the live servers.I doubt they can seriously test every possible scenario with every item, champ & etc in the game.Finding bugs is more likely to happen with the larger live playerbase because there's more players to play out more scenarios. If you seriously don't like how the PBE players are doing they're job (which is COMPLETELY voluntary by the way),then how about you sign up for the PBE?

All these criticisms are on the pbe forum somewhere. http://boards.pbe.leagueoflegends.com/en/

A lot of people said Devourer was going to be stupid when it hit Live and Riot ignored.

its less serious so its mostly about bugs that happen in my opinion. People complained about ekko on the pbe boards and he got nerfed but they obviously didnt do good enough since he came still strong as hell until the live nerf.

they give proper opinions and estimates, even predict and use the builds that occur on live

the problem is, riot often openly ignores any balance decisions by the playerbase

(for instance, I believe elise could actually be very viable with sated devourer cuz a tanky build with nashor's and devourer and masteries gains 3.4 ap ratio in the time of two auto attacks, so with 300 ap on tanky elise, that comes to over 900 damage)

someone came up with a brilliant thesis that Riot actually actively pushes imbalanced content so that it will be abused for freelo and purchased accordingly(such as champions) and will keep the game interesting with randomized freelo according to the champions affected

From what ive seen, those on the PBE give a ton of feedback, it is just Riot ignores it.
