Bot lane clown fiestas have nothing to do with bot lane towers lack of shielding

No team is 4 man or 5 man ganking bot lane BEFORE the game reaches the 5 minute mark. 5 minutes is like level 3 or 4. AFTER 5 minutes, all towers take the same amount of damage.

The only reason that the damage shield exists for mid and especially top lane towers BEFORE the 5 minute mark, and the reason that tower first gold exists is to provide incentives for LCS teams to not lane swap and 4 man push bot/top tower for the first 5-6 minutes of the game and have 0 interaction with each other, then switch back and take the alternate bot/top tower that is still up for the enemy team. which takes another 5-6 minutes. Which means that the game doesn't actually start until 13 minutes, with the first 12 being boring as hell to watch.

So , in short, tower damage reduction for the first 5 minutes only exists to stop LCS play from being boring AF to watch, but has NO actual effect in 95% of games as bot lane doesn't get ganked until the 8 minute mark, when teams are strong enough to dive, take the tower and dragon in the time it takes the other team to respawn and recover.

SO STOP USING IT AS AN EXCUSE

It does though, people want that extra 600 gold from first tower and wow would you look at that the easiest tower to get it also in the lane where the champion that scales the best with gold is.

I disagree, most people are selfish and want the gold for themselves.

I know I do.

But I'm not talking about the tower first blood gold. I'm talking about all the people overplaying the shielding that top/mid towers receive for the first 5 minutes of the game, and how that influences people to gank bot lane and start a snowball.

People want to gank bot tower because you dont have to rotate as many people, you have more people to kill there than mid or top, your most powerful tower killing champ (adc) is there, and you can then easily rotate to dragon.

But all of this happens after the tower damage reduction is gone, so it doesn't actually have an effect on the game or the current meta outside of LCS

I think that is reasonable, sure in lower to mid elo games it won't make much of a difference but in Diamond + i have seen games where a Jungler will gank and take tower within the first 5 minutes.

its exactly the reason. and what do you mean no jungler ganks before 5 minutes? thats when they have their level advatage. its a regular occurence for them to walk into bot lane with red buff at lvl 3, while everyone else is just about lvl 2.

If you, as the jungler, gank at level 3 (aka the 3:00 mark) and your bot lane is level 2, you will not take the tower before they get back to lane.

Unless you are running some comp like Ziggs+trist bot lane with lee jg, you are not taking that tower before they return to lane.

Doesn't fortifications last until 7min? I know it used to...

More importantly - junglers do gank this early. I got tower dove at level 2 the last time i played adc. Tbf i hit 7000ping somehow (had been fine the game before) swapped my Internet connection (which fixed the problem) but in doing so i was a caitlyn pushed under my own tower in the third wave. Nonetheless i was ganked + tower dove for a double kill pre-4min.

Also as to another response of yours on not taking the tower before they get back - that's not the point. Consider: Gank mid/top early - get 15% of the tower. Gank bot early - get 60% of the tower.

That's a huge difference. It makes it way more likely you'll get the first tower. Even if you don't get it off of that, the rotational game this season is huge. Teams NEED to minimize the time the enemy bot Lane can pressure the other outer turrets while theirs is up. This means that having the enemy bot tower at <40% makes it easy to take down once they rotate mid if they take yours first.

Most times an adc doesn't carry the game by getting fed early. If they carry early it's because they successfully rotate and take all 3 outer towers before losing their own - so the enemy adc can't rotate as easily to help defend. Bot Lane tower can be a huge catalyst for map control/pressure - and an early gank can be the difference between being down 3 towers to none, or tied 1-1.
