I mean holy crap. What the hell is the point of Teemo now?

Literally anytime you're gonna go into a teamfight where you're worried about the minefield he spent several minutes setting up, just throw down a control ward. Anytime you're gonna try to come stop his splitpush and have to pass by the minefield he set up at a choke point, throw down a control ward.

Tada, now who gives a fuck about shrooms.

He doesn't HAVE 2-3 seconds to autoattack the ward 4 times. Control Wards completely invalidate shrooms.

I mean I figured by the time Preseason hit live we would've at least seen a revert to the damage nerf on shrooms he got awhile back to compensate, but...

I get everyone hates Teemo. But he is still a champion in the roster, and does have players who enjoy playing him. You guys just took out the most fun part of playing the champion against anyone smart enough to buy a ward ever. At least with the red trinket, you could usually burst the character down. Control Wards are going to be near-impossible to handle mid-teamfight.

Really guys, he's not exactly the strongest champion in the roster. Please do something to help his shrooms out. They're a massive part of what makes the champion fun, and this is just way too much of a nerf to them.

Difference is you don't even have to worry about clearing them since they are disabled

With 4 autos. Typically the enemy support had red trinket, and you can burst down an enemy support pretty well, thus removing the threat. Can't do that mid-teamfight with pink wards.

Pretty sure control wards have 3 health, though I could be wrong. On top of that they aren't mobile, take up an inventory slot, and you are not going to be bursting a support in less than 3 autos unless they are a Soraka, who will probably be standing behind others anyways. On top of that Teemo himself is no longer revealed by any type of wards.

There are plenty of supports Teemo can burst in less than 3 autos. Auto-Blind-Auto on an AP Teemo can blow up a ton of squishies.

Which is one less auto than it takes to kill a control ward which can't heal, shield, or run away. Also most supports aren't going to be killed by that. Only really Bard and Soraka (Without ult) is going to be killed by that combo, maybe a zyra. Janna, Nami, Karma, Morg, Sona, Lux, and lulu are the only other squishy supports and they can all heal/shield through that combo.

Sure, they can, if they're somehow not lower level than you and don't have less gold (with the exception of Lux perhaps, or Lulu with her ult).

If that's the case, you're just bad at Teemo (or they were winning already anyway), so it's kind of a moot point.

Teemo Shrooms are just wards that punish the enemy for not counter warding

Making the enemy team stock up on control wards and choosing between putting it to deny vision or deny SOME of his shrooms is still a big benefit. Anyway, control ward isnt gonna cover an entire lane, if you have 10 shrooms cluttered around in 1 place it's your fault, spray them around generously to be unpredictable instead of putting them in the same brush everytime

It invalidates plenty of space. You don't cover a whole lane with shrooms, you cover priority choke points in jungle routes, or entry points from the jungle into the lane. This is more than enough coverage to invalidate shrooms.

Not to mention unless I missed something, red trinket still exists. So there's that, AND the new pink wards.
