One trick champ help.

RebornnFX··1 votes·2,129 views

I can afford ANY champ in the game, who should I main that I can carry in low and high elo. Doesn't get repetitive, can be played in 1-2 roles. I also want analysis, I have been playing kennen but he also seems to just be a press r champ that I don't really like. Any feedback would be amazing. Thanks!

(Also I am looking to find a lane to main but I do not know which I should go for)

Kayle.

RebornnFX1 votes

Repetitive, she spams q,w,e and then ults whenever low.

BladeSteel2 votes

Well who isn't repetitive?

RebornnFX1 votes

People who don't follow by one combo. For example, Katarina is repetitive.

BladeSteel5 votes

so once again..who isn't repetitive?

Axe2Handle1 votes

All champs have a qwer and maybe a clicky item. Most have an efficient way of pressing these buttons in a certain order, also called a combo. So I dont know what your asking...you can main Teemo?

RebornnFX1 votes

I dont know how to phrase it, katarina for me is repetitive, lulu isn't but gragas is. May just be who I enjoy playing I just don't know who is the best choice for me. ATM im thinking casseopia or syndra but maybe something else.

Unless you are talking about very high ELO, you can get good enough with almost any champion to really excel at them.

I'd suggest you first look to find a champion that you really enjoy playing, where you feel that you could happily continue to play them regularly forever and always be having fun or finding something new to do. With enough experience, you should be able to reach at least Platinum with almost anyone.

What type of champions do you actually enjoy playing? What kind of play style?

RebornnFX1 votes

First helpful comment not screaming at me. I enjoy playing champions that can carry, burst and require a decent skill cap, easy to start with impossible to master. I love being the guy that solo anybody but that usually requires being fed. I prefer assassins but as long as a champion can have a semi decent escape im fine. Im currently playing kennen and hes aight but 1. I feel like his ult isnt a high skill cap thing to master and once you reach a certain point he is the same old. I am looking at syndra right now. Not sure though. I hope you understand enough from this. I love being a damage dealer, have a impossible skill cap, mid is a nice role but I would like to play mid first jg/top second. If you need more info ask me. I have mained ahri and kat before and they have gotten a bit boring.

The champion that this description most makes me think of is LeBlanc.

Leblanc

She's quite easy to pick up initially, yet she also has one of the lowest winrates for midlaners specifically because it's hard to play her well against competent enemies and to turn your advantages into carrying a game. However, she's also often been picked in top-tier professional play in several seasons.

She has insane burst damage, and it's quite easy to pull off her burst combo quickly once you've learned it, but she also has a lot of flexibility because she can double-cast any of her abilities, allowing her to use her ultimate for either insane burst, long-duration CC, or insane mobility. Her W and passive especially make her a master of juking and misdirection, even if that's often not how she's played.

High burst, strong duelling, easy to start but hard to master, one of the best escapes in the game. The only downside is that she's due for a medium-scale rework soon, during the assassin update, though Riot have said that her spells and patterns won't change too much.

Other possibilities might be Ekko or Kha'zix. I was also going to suggest Kat, but you mentioned you're bored of her.

RebornnFX1 votes

I dont know I never was good at leblanc and never had much interest in her. I don't know what I am looking for.

Well, if you're looking for a champion whose skillset doesn't feel completely repetitive, that implies you want someone who can change up their spell rotations based on the situation for different effects.

The main ones of those are: Leblanc Karma Heimerdinger Brand Ryze

Alternatively, you could look for someone whose skill set is fairly fixed, but who instead has differences in the way that they approach different situations, such as: Evelynn Shaco Fiddlesticks MasterYi Katarina

As for your other criteria: Syndra Cassiopeia Lux Orianna

As have been mentioned a few times, Syndra and Cass fit your other criteria quite well, but frankly their combos and approaches are fairly fixed. Cass tries to hit you with her poison and then spams her E at you as much as she can. Her ult is a more interesting part of her kit, but the rest of it is fairly repetitive. Syndra also mostly has one combo: hit you with some orbs, throw one at you to slow you, then stun you and use her ult to burst you down. You can change the steps around to throw the orb after stunning, but that's pretty much it. Both of their kits are nuanced and take some practice to use effectively, but they don't really change up very much between uses. You could also consider Lux, though again her spell rotation is fairly fixed (snare with Q, autoattack, hit with E, ult) Another one you could consider is Orianna, she's somewhat similar to those others (though less bursty), and in her case the placement of her ball makes her abilities a bit more interesting.

RebornnFX1 votes

Yeah Im looking at both of them, I don't know which is better. I just want something with playmaking potential that doesn't get boring after playing 3 games of them.

Arcus Diabolus2 votes

We can't help you if you can't clearly define what "repetitive" to you is.

TheHurricaneGamr2 votes

Ok. You want a champ to one trick that does not get repetitive. I'm going to suggest. Gangplank He has a steep mastery curve, meaning you will get a lot of benefit for one tricking him. If you get good at him, you get a safe laning phase, free global pressure, and you can never really get behind. His kit never gets repetitive and requires precise planning to get a good barrel combo off, which is extremely satisfying to do. He can be played in both the top or mid lanes, (although mid is more of a niche pick, but can still be played to great success). However, he has his downsides. He takes a good amount of skill to play. Meaning you NEED TO PRACTICE HIM IN NORMALS before taking him into ranked. His laning phase can be good, but isn't the best, but it is well worth it if you make it to the mid and late game.

RebornnFX1 votes

I have tried gp before, I own him. But he is not my type, he isn't a assassin based champ and I don't like his kit until late game.

item 3078 item 3147 item 3158 item 3156 item 3142 item 3036

Serious talk though, if you do want a champ with an assassian-like playstyle, or just has different usable combos, Jax AurelionSol Fiora Yasuo Riven TwistedFate are all viable choices. Or you could try the king of combos, since you do play magesRyze. Also Lucian may be worth looking into.

RebornnFX1 votes

I don't like them though. I really just dont know what I want. Im not satisfied with anything.

TheHurricaneGamr1 votes

If that's the case, just start playing random champs and stumble upon one you like. You're likely not going to like everything about a champion, but as long as you are having fun, it doesn't matter. Also keep in mind that you are not going to do good with a champion every single game.

Kaioko1 votes

One trick champion and carrying at high ELOs should not be used in the same sentence lol.

RebornnFX1 votes

Sorry, I am not in a high elo I just want a champ I can commit to when I rank down and up.

Ritesh1 votes

Darius. A hard carry at low elo. EZ. I climbed from Silver to Diamond using only Darius and once I got serious and did that climb I had a 71% win rate with a 13/4/4 KDA. I also climbed Silver-Diamond in 2 1/2 weeks.

RebornnFX1 votes

Always banned, not my style and I dont feel successful if I carry as him because I have a broken q and r.

cinomenapplebae1 votes

Riven mid and top, VERY HARD TO MASTER but easy to learn. She is played like a fighter and is a great one trick champion since every game you can always get better at her.

Elite4Runner1 votes

You're looking for a One-trick main who is not likely to get banned too often, and you're wanting to climb with without becoming repetitive?

Good luck with that.

Eedat1 votes

Wukong. Plays both in Top and Jungle pretty much 50/50 split. He can also be extemely successful in Mid, although people dont like playing him there for some reason. Niche pick with high win rate. Low chance of being banned. Low chance of being picked before you. Can hard carry games to the max.

If you're interested I can give more details

Handy Sandy 1 votes

Syndra, Cassiopeia, or Annie if you're looking for a mage. Illaoi is also a good pick because nobody knows how to fight her and they just rush in at low elo and say she's OP.

RebornnFX1 votes

I was thinking syndra and cass, just I don't know their carry potential.

Handy Sandy 1 votes

{quoted}

I was thinking syndra and cass, just I don't know their carry potential.

Syndra can 2v1 easier than cass because of her AOE damage and stun. Cassiopeia does a bunch of damage over time (more damage than syndra) but can't really 2v1 as easily. Her ult is hard to stun people with because of the delay and I mostly use it for damage. Cass is known for carrying games hard, and she does it well. She's easy to cs with because of her E and I find her a bit harder than Syndra to play.

Prozzak1 votes

You ask for non-repetitive champs then think about Syndra? As someone who has played her a decent amount she is pretty repetitive.

RebornnFX1 votes

Well I never played her, I am just looking for a fun champ to main with no ending on learning them.

Athenes Lulu1 votes

Lulu

if you're mashing buttons in a strict order i have bad news for u

LitAF1 votes

Depends on your preference really.. Top and mid lane are the easiest to carry out of low elo

Syndra, Brand, and Ahri are pretty fun picks for mid.

NicolasTr1 votes

Rammus, top ,jungle, Mid , support or even kill lane ( if you have a Quinn , kog or any Adc jungle or top lane)

RageQ21 votes

Skarner :3

Litteraly went 23/2/6 and was dealing 500 dmg with 4.5k hp. Easy clears, can duel great and can easily change any teamfight and doesn't have to care about staying behind if played right you can kill any squishy in a teamfight if you dive in on them, if for any reason you aren't doing well become a utility champ, say that fed riven is going in on your team, ult her and there goes all her dmg. Peel for the carries if you can't already. He does need some skill and knowledge before hand. I'll probably make him my champ for climbing.

DREADN0UGHT1 votes

Gangplank Top and mid. But he is banned alot in plat+. Yasuo Top and mid. But he is banned alot in plat+. Khazix Mid and jungle. Diana Mid and jungle. Snowbally champ good in late game. Graves Top and jungle. But is very hard to master. Ekko Top, jungle and mid. Fairly simple but highly banned in all elos. Riven Top, jungle and mid. But is extremely hard to master, arguably one of the most mechanical champs in the game, can be very rewarding though.

To be honest, if you wanna be a OTP, I suggest you try a bunch of champs out via free weeks. Because if you climb say, to Diamond by spamming that ONE champion, thats cool and all, but as soon as that champion either gets buffed to the point of being perma banned or nerfed into oblivion, you won't have much luck at staying in high elo. So try other champs, get used to them, then pick one who fits your play style, don't go for the OP Fotm pick.

RebornnFX1 votes

I don't know really, I own everyone but kha diana and ekko and I just don't enjoy them that much. I want a hidden champ, someone unknown but I really just do not know who.

RebornnFX1 votes

To be honest, I love support. But no way I will get out of bronze one tricking bard and nami. Its either that or I find some champ I just love.

DREADN0UGHT1 votes

Carrying as a support main is not always as easy I'll admit. If I had any advice it would be to play carry supports like brand or sona.

TheHurricaneGamr1 votes

Sona's my go to support. item 3092 item 2049 item 3100 item 3285 item 3089 item 3030 . "I'm support"

DREADN0UGHT1 votes

yeah well low elo doesn't know how to use a 5 kill advantage, so you are better off taking matters into your own hands.

VivaLaKitten1 votes

Brand top mid supp :P

Divine Winds1 votes

Nidalee... Fun kit, easy to carry, high skill cap. Trust. You don't even need to land her spear

Unpaladin1 votes

Jax, Morde, Leblanc, Gangplank, Gnar and I would say Shen too (I would actually just post him alone) but he's getting nerfed to shit in the next patch.

If you not being good at someone deters you from playing them, you'll never find out what kind of success you'd get from playing them extensively and figuring them out even slightly. If someone told me I'd have new Gangplank as my most played I wouldn't have believed them because I consider myself bad, but honestly I find myself doing cleaner movements than other gangplank players in normals from all kinds of ranks and have played him to pretty good success for a little less than a year now.

RebornnFX1 votes

Still, I don't like any of them. I just dont know what I want and what is fun. its so annoying.

Unpaladin1 votes

I can understand that. I don't even like half the roster in this game. AP Karma, Ahri, Jayce, Kassadin or Nidalee ring any bells? Those can definitely do impressive things while not being real simple.

RebornnFX1 votes

Kassdin seems like the only fun one but idk. Im buying syndra and cass, gonna see how they do.

Unpaladin1 votes

You literally can't go wrong with those two, good picks lel

RebornnFX1 votes

played both, kinda got repetitive on cass but insane damage, plus enemies were ez AF. On syndra game it wasn't the best though.

oSEXYPLATYPUSo1 votes

wouldnt being a one trick champ in itself be repetitive ?

hmm anyone?
