Not really. Just because you think tank slugfests in top lane from earlier seasons are best doesn't mean everyone else in the game agrees.

As someone who plays entirely too much Irelia, she handles basically every champ you listed fairly well. Illioa is an aweful match, and Panth at least should be a bad matchup. The rest range from even to Irelia-favored.

EDIT: And possibly Trundle, haven't seen him in a long time.

I think Irelia could hold her own against Trundle. She could still deal true damage and sustain through some of his damage.

Yeah. As much as I like tank slugfests, top is probably the most diverse lane and it shouldn't be heavily punished for it.

I don't miss when it was only Renekton/Trundle/Mundo top lane in every game, that's for sure. Although bringing Swain top back then and having people think I was hacking because they had no idea how Swain's ult worked was a guilty pleasure.
