Okay, You could say im in a midlife crisis of league of legends right now I just got placed into bronze 4, I want to main ADC but when I try, I fail My placements were 0-10. What do I do? I can't even win as master yi. (Yes I tried)

Don't worry, I lost recently as Yi as well. It's not you. It's a team based game. And no matter what you do, you'll lose. Why? Because this game sucks. Look at my match history. the team aspect of this game is such a joke anymore.

Okay, Thank you for this. I am freaking out that I suck.

I hate to break it to you, but in all honesty, this game is sheerly going to come down to your luck. I'd recommend not trying to play AD until at LEAST high silver, if not gold. Nobody knows how to help you stay alive. Top and mid are your best bets for solo-carrying.

Good luck, its the only thing that matters in ranked

Okay, Im queing up right now with mid and top.

My dude, if I get my pc fixed sometime soon (crashing issues keep me from playing,) I'll totally duo with you, I main Support. :P I go into Tournaments as supp and usually place 3rd place in my drafted team or higher, so I'm decent I'd say :3

other then that, try to go into a very self-reliant role like mid or top where you can hard carry easily without your team.

As I say that I get a team filled with little kids who think they are hillarious ;-;

Yeah, bronze/silver teams aren't great at protecting the adc, but it's not always on the team. No one is going to be able to save you all the time if you're making bad choices. If you are an adc and are constantly on the front line, or off by yourself getting caught out because there's no vision, that's on you, not your team. No support is going to be able to save you from yourself. It's each player's personal responsibility to not do dumb things, and if you aren't getting that, why should they waste their time helping out the person that keeps putting themselves to get killed?

record your games, and what them to see where your mistakes are.

This may be harsh coming from someone who themselves is stuck in bronze right now, but you are exactly where you should be. You don't have a single game with over 200 cs, even when they are going 40 minutes, and you die absolutely too much. There will be games where the enemy team focuses you constantly, and your teammates don't help, and you die a bunch. But your record though tells me you're playing out of position, getting caught out, and not making good decisions in game. You regularly are getting killed 14+ times, including a game with Riven where you died 21+ times. That's just not ever going to be okay. I get it, I do the same thing a lot. But that's why I'm also stuck in bronze right now.

You've got to practice more. You can't play adc if you can't last hit minions. Practice in norms, and focus on nothing but farming and not dying, and then worry about kills. Get your cs up, your deaths down, and then come back to ranked.

this is what I am talking about though, im just in a weird phase of not being able to play correctly.

I totally get it. I went through the same thing during my placements and it just never seemed to end. But it's okay. The season is long. You don't have to jump up to silver this week. What matters is where you finish up; it doesn't matter how long it took you to get there. Take your time. If you're on tilt, then stop. You're in a death-spiral. You played badly, and now you're feeling the pressure to play better, but the pressure leads you to playing worse and digging a bigger hole to climb out of, which increases the pressure to have good game. It's a feed back loop and the only way for it to get better is to break the loop. Just stop playing ranked right now. Go play some norms and get your confidence back, and practice the basics. Have some fun. Or step away from league for a day or two. Come back to it when you aren't on tilt.

And a little rule me and my friends have set up that helps: You only get 2 back to back losses a day. If you lose two in a row, you're done with ranked for the day. It keeps you from self-destructing chasing wins. You can win as many times in a row as you want. You can win and lose back to back as much as you want. Second loss in a row and you're finished and you try again tomorrow.

I feel like im tilting. Im on the losing streak and I just cannot focus.

I was silver last season, and now almost back there after climbing back up after placements. One thing that really helped me to carry my teams as an ADC was to really work on my positioning and kiting. Always save your gap closer for escapes and kiting, and you will find yourself dying less and being alive longer during teamfights. I used to be gready and use my gap closer to secure a kill, only to be caught out by the enemy burst damage. It is better to be in a safe location and deal damage to the tank than it is to be 1 shotted by their AP mage while you focused the carry. Just try improving on little things and after a while they become second nature. GL on the rift!

Thanks for this, I will be sure to remember this.

Listen to me man, all these people telling you you're just bad in the comments aren't trying to help you. If you seriously want to improve, add me and ill spectate your games and jot down some pointers if you want. Just from looking at your match history I think you should focus on easy champions (I would NEVER touch nidalee because I know I wont be able to use her to her maximum potential at all, you should avoid nidalee, ahri, riven, thresh, etc) and learn the importance of itemizing, your yi game you didnt have a jungle item, which makes your clears terrible and sets you behind in gold and XP.

TL;DR: Work on building the basic knowledge of what wins games (talk to me if you want to learn); learn how to itemize and farm; play easy champs, by no means am I an amazing player, but I can help you get out of bronze if you're willing.

Kettelcorn1 votes

Lmao, not a single comment on this post said he sucks, they are all advice or saying how much his team sucks

I PREACHER I1 votes

"Im sorry but you have to realize that you just belong there" and blaming your team is the absolute worst thing you could ever possibly do, so the majority of comments saying that isnt helping either

Kettelcorn1 votes

Well on that post you mentioned, the guy gave him advice on how to get better, and I already know that blaming teamates is the essence of tilting.

Nik Nikerson1 votes

I wasn't insulting him. I said that he belonged in bronze right now. That's just an honest assessment of his situation. Part of fixing a problem is honestly assessing it. If you're a bronze player, but have unrealistic views of your skill set and think you belong in silver or gold, it's not going to help you. All you're ever going to do is get resentful and frusterated you aren't winning games, or blame your team, or a million other things that keep you from focusing on how to fix the problem; which is improving your own play. Accepting that there's a reason why you are in bronze is the first step to getting out. It allows you to look at how you are playing and what you need to improve on.

Being realistic about your level of skill can also help alleviate unneeded pressure. It lets you focus on making small improvements that add up to big improvements, instead of worrying about why you aren't gold right this second. There's no shame in being bronze if you're improving, and if you aren't realistic about your skill level, how can you really assess whether or not you're getting better?

RebornnFX1 votes

I can play those champs in dynamic que, its just the pressure of ranked kills me.

I PREACHER I1 votes

Work on not seeing ranked as such a huge deal; I used to get the hibby jeebies when queuing up for ranked too, but as you realize that not every game is winnable you can start to developed a chiller outlook on ranked and it becomes easier

RebornnFX1 votes

Yea, I need to just take a second. I have been tilting all week. Im just gonna refresh my mind
