i want mana costs to matter again
mana management should be a skill
the way most of these new and reworked champs operate they might as well be manaless

I remember when I ran out of mana in lane... Ahhh the good days. Lulu was a champion, but so was Kassadin.
I remember when people were bad at this game and now they're decent and know how to manage mana properly. There are no champions with cheap as dirt mana costs and if you're spamming your abilities all the time, you will run out of mana pretty fast.
Since there is a practice mode (on PBE?), i suggest you take your pick(s) and try it. Find us a champion that can do what he wants without worrying about his resource management.
People aren't good at mana management though, seriously go to dota where 2 spells depletes your entire bar and tell me about how mana management is difficult.
I don't even need to go to Volvos Doto 2. Use Q twice with Blitz and you're oom earlygame.

low cds and low costs
I've never seen an Ez run out of mana, even while spamming.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Swain is a huge one.
Ekko's mana management is garbage if he's throwing out Q's and E's 24/7.

lols okay
He's right. He does tend to run oom if he uses 2 Qs and 1 E every wave.
Agreed, I love it when Camille, or Jayce, or Fiora, or Ekko, or GP, do 2 or 3 spell rotations and dont go below 50% mana.......

Shen presses E and half his energy bar is gone wtf are you talking about?
And Vlad uses HP to cast his spells.
Shen presses E and half his energy bar is gone
Only if he doesn't hit anything. Otherwise his E costs 150/145/140 energy. You're also disregarding the fact that he can refund energy with Q as well.
That's a different mechanic altogether. Yes, Shen can refund his energy. If he couldn't, he would be the shittiest, most useless champion in the game.
I'm talking about the moment you press E, disregarding the rest of his kit. You lose 180 energy upon casting it whether you whiff it or land a 100 man taunt (I actually want to try this haha).
the goold old time where he went oom
same for
+ basically any mages
Brand can still go OOM if he gets into too many fights before Morellos, as he wants Rylais and Liandries first, and these don't provide mana.
Also Vik is super mana hungry early game, especially his laser.
i'm just saying
never saw those 2 going oom always saw them going oom in season 2
maybe that's because people got better
I can see support Brand not going OOM, as he doesn't spam as much as midlane Brand does to keep pressure on his opponent.
Nah, that's just Lost Chapter.
Wait... When did Nasus STOP going oom before
???
they made his Q mana cost 20 at all rank
I'm pretty sure Nasus has 3 other abilities though...
Q is the only key Nasus needs.
Q.
Q.
Q.
Nasus Lane pattern:
Q>Q>Q>Q>Q>Q>Q>Q>Q>Q>Q
press W if they try to interrupt your stacks
E is exclusively for unfreezing lane from under their tower.
Nasus still builds 2 mana items every game.
E's mana cost is just fucking suffocating.
Unless you're playing AP/splitpush Nasus you hardly need to E.
nasus can't go OOM
Even if you were correct (you're not), You're talking about the champion who has literally zero lane presence
Welcome to Boards, where everything is exaggerated and facts don't matter!
Lol I havent gone oom in like a season and a half
Remember when Orianna has mana problems?
lol
she doesn't now?
No, one of the last changes to Orianna was in the form of a mana buff for attack move and ult.
Command Attack Cost reduced to 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50 from 50 at all ranks
Also ult is now 100 at all ranks (this made sense).
You do realize mana management only existed because most of the league roster had point and click spells with relatively short cooldowns. They had to be gated (eg Pantheon, even Kalista if she didn't have the mana refund)
Now that most champions are skillshot reliant or require conditions to do maximum damage and can be outplayed, mana costs have come down to be less punishing.
Try playing
then, otherwise i have no advice for you.
They did buff his mana regen growth and I actually notice the improvement. Also you kill them and back so much that mana is less of an issue than people who stay in lane to farm for 10 minutes at a time
Yeah, people who played talon already would notice the slight improvement. People who play meta mid-laners (mages) would more than likely make the mistake of using his abilities inefficiently, because while they did help a little; his mana costs are still much higher than most mid-laners and all of the other assassins.
it matters on mages and most ap champs... it always has... its just so many AD champs are manaless or deal so much damage without mana they don't ever run out becuase they don't NEED to use skills to farm, so they have it all to kill you with
Champions are being designed around the fact that they need their abilities to function as champions. Darius has the lowest attack speed of all Juggernauts (and possibly anyone, not sure), so he is required around that fact to use Q for the forefront of all his damage. Thing is, simply by being in Melee range, Darius loses 65% of his damage from Q, and no stacks. Since Juggernauts weakness are to be kited, which is rather easy with a good team, they get more leniency with their mana costs. Same rule applies to other Jugs (save Illaoi, them mana costs on E, and how much you wanna use Q)
Mages who actually use Mana as a stat, and itemize it, are much more likely to run Oom in lane, before they literally buy an item to make that less of a concern, because that's their shtick. Fighters don't commonly itemize Mana, save Triforce's, and I suppose that is meant to be a pro for the whole Melee v. Range concern, but that's another topic for another day. Fiora relies heavily on her dashes to work her way around to hit those Vitals, and as such, needs to have that ability up. A Fiora who couldn't use her Dash would lose to every other champion, as her survivability and damage is based around dashing.
ADC's are variant in their use of Mana when it comes to it. Lucian requires an Essence Reaver for his build, as he actually does run out of mana rather fast mid game, because his entire damage output relies on chaining his spells. Jhin on the other hand, doesn't rely on his abilities for the front of his damage, and as a result, his abilities are lower cost because they aren't nessecary, but helpful when it comes to his kit. Sure, Jhin still builds ER, but that's just because it gives CDR with AD and Crit Chance if anything is to be seen from that.
tbh no
Buys tear
What mana costs?
I still run out of mana sometimes with a TotG. Do I need to reconsider my life decisions?
You do realize if anything that will make manaless champs much more stronger? I believe all manaless/energyless should be changed to either have energy/rage or mana. No cost for using abilities is insane.
Remember a couple months ago during the mage rework when people were bitching about mages running oom because they lost their mana regen?
Supports hardly ever run out of mana anymore. Mages never run out of mana. The only people getting dunked by mana costs are tanks and fighters, the physical class that for some reason needs magic to stab people, or throw a spear.
does go oom very frequently if not decent mana management
what's mana management? LUL

what's mana?
Those champions may not have mana, but their resource is something that has to be worked around to use them at their fullest strength. Unless you're Katarina, Garen, Riven, Tryndamere, or Yasuo, they get it for free.
Can you stop copy-pasting this thank you.
