I like that LoL numbers have taken a huge hit...
across Twitch (Fortnite dominance etc) and numbers in general...
Because hopefully that means the devs will be SERIOUS about getting the game into better shape from now on.

League is still the biggest PC game in the world. It's install base hasn't changed dood, it's just that Fortnite is much easier to watch/understand casually and just had a big tournament plus a new season start on top of being the new hotness. Casuals understand how guns shoot, they dont know how Braums passive works.

Fortnite sucks ass
Fortnite sucks ass
This is also correct

u might be wrong. the internet gaming landscape isn't as forgiving as it was in the past. WoW has hung in there with its life-support expansions. Even their big games such as Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3 have virtually 'died'.
All devs from now on will take Twitch and Youtube into consideration when developing their games.

Diablo 3 was never big, that game was dead at the start when everyone realized it sucked. Also, WoW is still the most played MMORPG on the planet and it barely registers even a single k's worth of people on Twitch, feel like Twitch might be less relevant then you think.
Wow isnt a good "streaming" game. Its a chat room talk kinda game. Or internet guide on how-too kinda game.

I disagree... I feel Twitch and Youtube makes or breaks games these days. Sure there are plenty of fun games that are not big on these 2 platforms. But they wont be the massive popular multiplayer games... they could simply be a popular niche game on Steam.
To be massively popular multiplayer, the games' presence have to be felt on Twitch, Youtube or other big China etc streaming platforms. I don't think the goals of Riot games is to simply be a popular 'niche' game.

Uhhhh, this sat as one of the most played games on the planet and still one of the most played games on the planet for now going on 9 years, I don't think you can call LoL niche anymore.
A lot fewer pros are streaming League lately, and they were a sizable chunk of viewership. I'd like to see the reduced viewer number adjusted to not count pro stream viewership.

Part of it is their rigorous stream schedule. That's why I side with Doublelift on reducing the amount of patches a season. Gives more chances for pros to make the game accessible.

I disagree with this. I think too much attention had been placed on the 'pro-gaming' side and the actual game suffered.
Make League fun again should be the priority. Regardless of the frequency of patches, do what is necessary to make the game fun.
You should go watch Doublelift's video. Once you see it you won't bring up the "too much pro attention" thing for this particular issue.

Except Riot doesn't balance around pro play nearly as much as you think. They balance around what I call mid elo (mid play to mid diamond). It might be mid elo in terms of raw skill but laning phases are almost pristine in that range (except for the tilted/chainganked lane). That's why assassins, which aren't as terrifying in high elo, absolutely murder the shit out of low elo.
If they were balancing for pro play we'd see a reasonable amount of assassins in pro play and if that happened, you'd see no mages whatsoever in low elo. They'd be that terrible.
Alrdy I'm feeling longer queue times, possibly due to less players - this happening to anyone else?
A reduction in numbers has a larger impact on multiplayer games such Mobas and BRs than other genres of games.
Just look at H1Z1, DayZ and upcoming PUBG.. =)
you shouldn't hope anything bad for a game you played for such a long time ( knew that from your icon ) ... good luck

I cared. Soon I might not.
