They're professionals. They know how to play more champions with their pinky and play them better than you play your best champion.

You can't knock them for picking the best champions. This is competition first, entertainment second. They're trying to win, not please your desire for diversity. Money and bragging rights is on the line, id play the most broken shit too.

the thing is I personally value pros that play a wide range of champs i.e. Faker more than two-trick-ponies pros as well.

when u give a team 5 mid bans, players like Faker automatically shine... also players who grasp good general mechanics... I'm all for "Welcome to the League of Faker"

See, this sounds like you're blaming the players again. Faker is a god on anything he touches because league of legends is his life. Nobody is more dedicated. But these "two trick ponies" play more than two champions. This is their job and they'll play what they're asked to play by their team first. Almost no pro has a choice on what they play honestly, it's basically a team decision so you're often told what you're going to play before you play it.

the only thing I blame is lack of courage/creativity on players' and team's part to pick more off-meta champs/comps. That is solely on them. Their picks/choices. That makes for a very dull viewers' experience. Of course going by the title of this thread, the staff behind Riot balance/live team has a big part to play to skew their choices. The title of this thread is not "WELL DONE, CREATIVE PRO PLAYERS!" btw.

U can argue that they're doing that because they're doing what they can to try to win. But I would rebut that thinking out of the box can help them win the game too. Just that no one is doing it. It has become a "disease" when everyone is merely copying strats/champ picks from each other or copying from Korea.

no1 is blaming players, players only pick whats the best. but all we want is for more options to equally be the best and its up to the players preferences whats picked.

no one has the mobility, survivability, utility, and raw stick potential like gragas and ekko. its unmatched and its why they are so widely chosen as front liners.

u noticed too it's mostly 3 champs on every lane... that could be due to 3 bans on each side. I think every player have merely learnt 4 champs for all their games.

If we multiply that by 10 players = 4 x 10 = we'd most likely see 40 out of the 120+ total number of champs in LoL (not counting overlapping champs i.e. Tahm at top and support; Ekko at top/mid).

That's still only 1/3rd of the total champ pool and is not Diversity. If we get 5 bans each side, hopefully we may see players learn more than 5-6 champs = 60 possible champs played.

You understand they playt o win right? They will use the best champion, they don't care how boring it is. Lots of Pros confessed they were tired of playing those ever present champions, but they have to, it's a competition.

Unless Riot could make every champion equal in power, some champs will be better than others.

im tried of seeing RekSai in LCS

first off becuase all she does in lcs is being a tanky a knockup bot with vision, she brings zero damage and is boring to watch

and becuase becuase of her LCS she getting getting repeatedly nerfed... when she is already weak outside of LCS

the nerfed her knockup radius.. they nerfed her vision..

now they are nerfing her tunnel and her ulti.

riot... yes she is always picked in LCS.. in LCS vision in everything as long as she has her W passive and isn't 100% worthless in fights.. she is going to be picked...

Exacty but that's why Riot shouldn't nerf one of 3 worthy junglers but buff few of them that are underplayed. Same goes for top. As far as I watch LCS from season 3, junglers and top laners, together with supports suffered from having smaller champion pools comparing to Mid and ADCs.

I'm not watching pro games because I don't see my main champions there. We want to watch game we're playing, unpredictable, where diamond smurfs can pick kha and panth botlane and carry entire game, not this cut version of game with 30 champions every match and same builds and rotations.

What the hell do you expect? Every single season junglers and top laners are literally forced to play 3 champions because only 3-4 champions for jungle are worth something, others are utter garbage since jungle is destroyed and even in that case people complain about Gragas, Hecarim, etc...like junglers are forced to play utter shit champions and have no impact to the game. Same goes for top...idk how on this world can anzone have a fun playing top and being forced to pick one of 3 viable top laners lol..

And yes, Riot is nerfing Rek'Sai so one worth champion less in a junglers champion pool.

God I wish I took ADC or MID as my main roles so I could actually have fun and play Ahri Anivia Cassiopeia Ezreal Jhin Jinx Karma Kassadin Leblanc Lucian Malzahar Sivir Syndra Taliyah Vayne Vladimir Yasuo Zed Viktor instead of being forced to decide between Nidalee Gragas and Hecarim would add Elise to the list but she suck balls late game and worth shit after 25. min mark.

Actually she does, as a Jungle main I have to Admit that she reallz falls of harder than any other champion. Remember that you can't build her full AP and thatbher spells, except Q deal kinda low damaga and Q is a finisher. Her w (human form) deals literally no damage late game, you cant scratch tanks and ADC will simply lifesteal its damage with a simple AA and well, it's easy to dodge. Basicallz all you have to do with Elise is to hope that you wont puck up all kils in first 20 minutes so you can snowball your team early so they can stay relevant late game and carry you.

In the other hand, Lee Sin's base damage is much higher, especially his ultimate which has insane damage and Pantheon is just too easy to play, he falls off but still dies harder than Elise and his easy EWQ cmbo deals more damage than Elises EWQWQ.

Last season they tried bringing diversity with the last minite juggernaut update. I don't think Riot is going to try to bring diversity to lcs and worlds again. If that's truly the case it would be nice if balancing was seperated from pro play and normal play somehow.
