why do half of the odyssey missions exclude odyssey as a game mode?

this is kind of weird choice to make event missions that you can complete in every mode but the event mode.

Also, it wouldn't matter if they excluded Odyssey or not: Good luck getting assists, kills, barons, towers, or dragons in Odyssey RGM.

ooohhh... you impatient with the 75 Assists mission, too? (But really the non-Odyssey missions would wind up completed during the event period, even unintentionally.)

My guess would be that Odyssey is like the intro to the crew or event then the other missions have you going around the galaxy after Odyssey: Extraction happened.

I think they don't want players to lose sight of the actual game for a one shot event. That and pve also gets boring at times so mixing it up helps.

they usually do this by making the missions that you can complete on either the event mode, or any other mode.

its just an odd decision imo.

Because whenever there's some kind of new game mode or map with missions tied to it, there is always people clamoring that Riot is forcing them to play a mode they don't want to play. This is Riot's way of letting people gain some rewards even if they don't want to play the game mode.
