Why in gods name is a sliver 1 in the same match with a plat 5?
my dude went
and died more than 13 times never did anything impactful , completely lost in the sauce sorta speak shouldn't he be playing with gold 5's or gold 4's????

Because being plat doesn't really mean shit.

MMR is what determines who you play with and vs.
This is your azir's mmr https://puu.sh/v5LY3/af76c403c3.png
Also the plat 5 was on your team so he had nothing to do with your azir feeding.
Everyone on the enemy team mmr was gold 4- gold 2.
Maybe if the azir keeps playing like trash his mmr will drop to silver but until then he will be playing with people in gold range.
Edit: downvoted for telling the truth i see how it is, keep worrying about a pointless badge that doesn't mean shit to people who actually want to climb.
I doubt you even know about the "bronze 5" player that was getting in matches with challenger players thanks to his mmr being so high while he dodged constantly to avoid ranking up.
is it me.. or every time i see diamonds/platinums in my games is 100% lost ?
That's one reason Riot removed seeing enemy borders from loading screen. "oh no, the color of that person's border means I can't win" -> lower morale -> does poorly due to lower morale -> loses -> "it was because of the color of the border"
One of my favorite games was a reverse instance of this. I was playing pre-rework Poppy at like Silver3 (as a jungle/mid main at the time), and my friends were like "this guy's a Gold3 Renekton one-trick with a KDA of 6 over 30 games and he's never had more than 2 deaths in a game. Just try not to feed." I ignore their well-meant advice and absolutely destroy him. I wasn't a great Poppy player; I was just on fire that game.
Try telling yourself "that person has a diamond border but got matched with me because his MMR is so terrible that he should be in gold" and it might help you win more :)
Edit: terrible MMR for being in Diamond. Not MMR shaming here.
when ever i see a diamond in my games i automaticly know , that i have to play good or we lost... and ofc we lose anyway because the diamond guy "plays for fun" 0-15
I lose w/e theres a plat on my team. Thought it was weird till I realized if there's a plat player with silver mmr they're awful at the game and prob got boosted

Just got to learn to go with the flow, ranking doesn't really matter unless that person is playing their main in normals, and if you were talking about rank games if that plat+ is getting matched in your games then they are actually trash to not get paired with the other plat+ players, shouldn't worry about it too much.
You asked for shorter queue times. Did you expect game quality to be unchanged?
i never in my life asked for shorter queue times
Low MMR, better get working on that.
I looked. It looks like that guy was Plat last season, but decayed to Gold 1 75 LP. That was like his 3rd game afer his placmeents so his MMR was still high Gold most likely
He was probably on a winning streak.
Either that or your MMR is slipping due to a losing streak. Was everyone else in the match Platinum? I get alarmed when I see an odd Diamond on my team. I know they're tilting and will likely throw/give up.
I am Gold 3 and I get placed with a lot of Platinum players, even when I was Silver 1. I'll get the occasional Silver player.
There's not a whole lot of differences in my opinion.
doesn't matter.
if they're in the same room it means MMR and LP are so out of sync that there is no point to having 1 or the other.
they should share the same rank or be very similar to it at least.

I just looked at the game he's referring to.
Team 1 (His team) Gold 1, Plat 5, Silver 1, Gold 5, Gold 2
Team 2 Gold 3, Gold 4, Gold 2, Gold 1, Gold 3
According to na.op.gg the Silver 1 player had an MMR of Gold 5 when he's Silver 1. That player just finished their placements not too long ago.
According to the same site OP is sitting at Gold 1 but has an MMR or Gold 2.
The real kicker is that the Silver player he was referring to was actually Platinum 5 in Season 4, Platinum 3 in Season 5, and Gold 1 in Season 6. From a light reading of everyone's profiles, it looks like his team had the more pretty borders across multiple seasons. However borders are just borders, especially in Gold and low Platinum. There's almost no difference.
Not to mention people just have bad games, bad connections, or throw. It had nothing to do with him being Silver 1 because as you can see in his previous seasons he placed higher than OP even did. Don't blame people's performances on their borders.
You can look all this up on his na.op.gg profile man.
you're missing the point.
why are they all at different ranks s1, through p5. "even though they're the same in terms of skill level" and have an even chance at winning? Lp system has failed to do its job.
OR
they dont have an even chance, and MMR is failing to create fair games.
ranked system is far from accurate.
I'm silver and I duo sometimes with a gold buddy who got plat last season, so I'm actually pretty used to seeing the odd plat in my games. Perhaps this is why it might be happening?

No I got the point exactly. MMR determines who play. MMR was doing it's job correctly and the reason that game was lost was not due to the an uneven MMR or that one player. Have you looked at the game and everyone's profiles?
As I outlined in my post, this isn't an example that could be used to illustrate your point. I'm not disagreeing necessarily, but OP is misleading. His MMR is lower than it should be. That Azir's MMR was higher than where most people are at Silver 1. So he's going to be matched as someone who is Gold 5. Not only that, but OP wasn't doing too hot that game either.
I don't believe KDA and Kill Participation tell a complete story, but he didn't preform much better in those areas. His ADC and Support did extremely well that match, at least in the KP and KDA department. I didn't watch the replay, but I concluded that they were carrying the match. Nobody should be salty, but if anyone would be I would assume it would be them.
The Platinum 5 player we're seeking justice for didn't preform much better on top of all this (the Teemo jungler). After that OP had a game where his KDA and KP was even lower than that Azir's. They were the two highest ranked players on the team. Badges are just badges and don't determine everything.
I'm not trying to call him out, because it just looks like he's having a few rough games, it happens to all of us, but I don't understand why he's making a misleading thread.
What is Sliver rank? Never heard of it, maybe it's right above Gold 1, would explain the matchmaking.
Dry Your Tears.
The matchmaking has been broken for a while, its actually starting to get to the point where average players (gold elo, maybe low plat, but in silver) are getting put into matches with plats, in all reality the elo system needs to stop fucking doing this and start putting players into their correct elo brackets so when a silver player who belongs in a higher elo gets put in matches they will actually win and rank up, not hit a brick wall at silver 1 or 2 because their being placed in matches 2 or 3 elos above them (ive actually been put in a diamond game before, and got flamed so hard because im not able to play at that level as of yet, whenever i hit silver 1, all my matches are against high plats and i just cant rank up, as thats not my elo bracket, but once i drop an elo im crushing literally everything
I had a game where we had a silver 4 jungler, first season of ranked. Then on the other team they had 1 plat 5. I also had a game a while before that where me and a friend were duoed. I think we were both gold 3 or 4, and he was against a plat 5, previously diamond 5 top laner, and dumpstered him. Right now I am gold 3 and I consistently see plat 4's and 5's in my games. Not sure how this system works, or if it is working.
If Rito is so confident that the Plat player's rank is too high, that they would put him in a ranked game with silvers, then that shows how terrible the ranking system is at giving you your appropriate rank.
Which, by the way, it is. It's absolutely awful. They hide behind the "mmr" excuse, which people seem to eat it up. My mmr should NEVER be more than 1-2 divisions beyond my rank. If it is, then you have simply failed to place me at my appropriate rank.
I remember how one time we had a diamond 2 and the enemy had 3 unranked XD
If I am not mistaken, it will pair you generally a full division up and down. For example, when I was Bronze 1, I would play against low gold with frequency, early in the season those low golds I end up playing are usually low platinum people once they climb off the soft reset. At bronze 2 I would see low gold rarely, lots of silver. Bronze three has been awhile, primarily bronze and silver people up to silver 1-2. In silver, I see more golds than I do silver or bronze, or seems that way.
Then, again when the que was borked, I ended up against a prominent mid laner that plays in the LCS. That was kinda neat actually, as I kept up well in lane, traded well, only down like 6-8 cs at 10 minutes, I had 80 ish, him close to 90. past the 20 minute mark though was when things went downhill quick when the incremental picks and such come through on team mates, team members ignoring farm and such that happens from bronze to gold frequently, for the kill festival of clowns. So, when the que was goofed and everyone went against everyone regardless of logic and mmr, could still be some remnants of that in the system.
Or he could just be doing well in silver, but, the system throws him into a higher than normal bracket to check and see how he does a few times to calculate his Mmr, then happened to have either a bad game or silvered it up, lost lane as an example got lost going to the wrong places and such. Keep in mind, sometimes, you can do things in low elos that you can't in higher elos.
