#1 reason Yasuo is banned

Darth Sidiouss··142 votes·7,548 views

Yasuo 0 / 10 / 3 <----- 15 min mark

7 / 10 / 16 <----- end game mark

Dude literally farms back into the game people know know this but not just how hard he comes back. You can literally shit stomp this parasite and he STILL makes his way back. Recovery and rubber-banding exp/gold effects this champion too hard. The KDA's shown above are no exaggeration thats literally what happens if you give a competent yas a chance to breath. Toxic design to say the least.

I've had a yasuo open with 5 deaths then kill me as nasus when I had 2 levels on him plus 3 armor items incl item 3025 for damage, just because he hit his 100% crit plus some lifesteal power spike. Pretty stupid shit

Max w after q and it's pretty impossible for him to comeback. He can't lifesteal that much with 50% as slow With 45 cdr is even more easy.

I hate yasuo too, but if nasus survive the first 9 level farming hard he beat him really easily.

IPromiseTomorrow31 votes

Show us the replay because I don't believe he could 1v1 you straight up when you had such a huge lead.

You have one of the highest attack speed slows that counters him hard on Lifesteal and damage. Did you fight him under turret?

what is qss/cleanse right?

Spicy Rice2 votes

It's like an 8 sec cd on wither.

nice table27 votes

are you implying nasus survives for over 8 seconds agaisnt yasuo? cause he doesn't.

Arakadia14 votes

I totally do believe what he said is possible but I wont believe him till he shows a replay.

Coming from a mastery 7 yas main it's too true. If I get shit on in lane I just spend 10 minutes farming and then I get some items and I do 600 damage per basic

Honesty in this day and age is appreciated*[slayer-pantheon-thumbs]*

Spicy Rice26 votes

You can do that on literally any champ.

It's not unique to yasuo

Limmie27 votes

Try doing that on Pantheon and Lee Sin then come back with the results.

Seekêr10 votes

You can do it on any late game carry******

MohawkBird21 votes

The difference is that Yasuo isn't even a late game carry. All he needs is two items to start carrying, which is not hard to get at all. Other late game carries actually start spiking around 4 items, never only two.

Arakadia15 votes

Show me a Wukong getting shit on in lane, farming for 10 minutes, and than scaling hard core.

JJI74423 votes

Lets see.

Hard-scaling passive.

5s CD AoE knockup.

Additional CC on ulti.

One of, if not the, strongest utility spells in the game.

Its like his kit has a bunch of stuff that lets him still be impactful while feeding his ass off.

EDIT: doesn't help that since his kit is so polaried, he can 100% beat a champion he counters even when drasticly behind.

IPromiseTomorrow9 votes

Yea but all of that is avoidable and you can be away from minions since his mobility is conditional if you are next to minions.

Voluug137 votes

So he basically zones you and unables farming because he has a no cd no mana mobility spell? Last time a champíon completly zones you from minions his AP scalings were completly deleted.

How is it different from Fiora or Riven?

deadlychuck25 votes

Ironically it isn't very different. Which is why those champions are also often viewed as extremely toxic, regardless of their viability in the meta or their win rates.

How is it different from Fiora or Riven?

fiora and riven cant make plays off their teammates

Mira Arya Enthe9 votes

Yasuo comes back faster than Riven since he has a larger 2-3 item powerspike, that said Riven comes back harder late game because she is better at 5-6 items than Yasuo. Since games are viewed as short and people care a lot about the early game people only focus on the 2-3 item powerspike.

That is why. Not saying it is a correct way of thinking but Yasuo largely gets hate because of the midgame endings.

Mira Arya Enthe21 votes

Carries scale. No surprise. Especially melee carries. Yasuo scales earlier than most but not as hard by late game.

MohawkBird4 votes

I'd feel more threatened by a late game Yasuo than any other Yasuo. He scales just as hard late as any other melee carry.

Ahristocats11 votes

yasuo is worse than any carry in late game due to crit penality (10% and 25% on Q)

you can check that on his win rate a late game yi will kill tanks in 4 hits and squishies in 2 hits, yi has more than 6% win rate higher than yasuo in late game

Spicy Rice4 votes

Did you expect people to objectively look at data? This is the Boards. You'd have a better chance of convincing people that Donald Trump isn't rascist

SUPERX4PANDA17 votes

(Sarcasm warning) How dare a late-game, basic attacking, crit-based champion be able to come back if you don't properly close out a game! It's what you see all the time when a pro team loses when they are ahead. They have a gold lead (usually achieved through kills/turrets) but cannot capitalize well enough to end the game, and despite the losing team's kda's being fairly shit, they stall and farm the game until gold/kda doesn't matter anymore. Sorry to be so sarcastic, but this is completely fair. If you cannot close out a game versus a late-game champion, you will pay the price for it. Gangplank Kassadin MasterYi Vladimir Vayne Fiora Nasus all do this in varying degrees or have been notorious for it in the past. This is not a matter of Yasuo being toxic design, this is a problem of being unable to play well enough to close out the game before gold becomes irrelevant. That is something that can happen in every game of League, and can either be avoided with good play or allowed to happen and the game can be lost.

Masala Chai4 votes

Problem is Yasuo has one of the strongest level 1s and 2s. Vayne is consistently shit throughout the entire lane. Gangplank is super vulnerable to all ins even with orange up. Yi has extremely low pressure early game. Kassadin gets shit on everyone who can basic attack before 6 and Fiora sucks in teamfights.

SUPERX4PANDA11 votes

Yasuo's level 1 is not very strong after the E nerfs a while ago gutting the early damage. He can't simply dash through minions level 1 to hit a ~100 damage magic nuke before basic attacking 3 times. If he takes Q the most he can really hope is to hit a tornado unless his opponent brainlessly lets him hit melee Q's. Level 2 is still fairly strong but Talon's is far more oppressive than Yasuo's will ever be in both top and mid. It's not a problem either because you can simply play slightly differently at level 2 and wait until you're 3 to have all of your own abilities. Yasuo, contrary to popular belief, cannot engage on you at any moment he chooses. If you can play differently for a short time to avoid taking his damage, and yet you choose not to for any reason (lack of paying attention, cockiness, etc), that is on your fault as a player, not the design of the champion.

they reverted the e nerfs

Dabrick015 votes

No, he is talking about the E nerfs when they cut the base dmg and added an AD scaling.

SUPERX4PANDA7 votes

I'm not talking about the cooldown nerfs, because yes those were reverted. There were nerfs in 7.2 that cut his E damage pretty significantly that made it so taking E level 1 and maxing it worse. Those nerfs were the whole reason Q max is the norm today.

General Esdeath 13 votes

You mean a late game champ can come back?!?

ThePikol2 votes

You mean other late game champ like Vayne, Jinx can as easly come back after 0/10/3 stats?

Veltox5 votes

Vayne's actually notorious for that crap.

SUPERX4PANDA8 votes

If they play intelligently, farm well, and have good positioning, yes. Yes they can.

DunkinNoobs12 votes

How you can't end a game with a 0/10/3 Yasuo on the enemy team is beyond me.

People keep running into my blade! Yasuo

Officially10 votes

As an ADC main, I ban Yasuo because I think Windwall is one of the most broken abilities in the game. Regardless of how fed I am, he can completely zone me out of a fight for 3.75 seconds by just pressing w. There's no counter play to it. If I decide to walk up or around it, it's likely that Yasuo can dash onto me since I'm heading towards the windwall that he just placed down. To be able to block every single projectile for 3.75 seconds is ridiculous.

AmazoX1 votes

The exaggeration on this comment about Wind Wall is un-real, You claim it as if it's covering the whole freaking map.

Officially4 votes

Lets see. Wind wall at max level covers roughly 75% width of a lane and any entrance in the jungle. If used in the jungle, there's no way around it. If used in lane, there are very few angles to go around and generally it'll be too risky which results in waiting it out. Correct me if I'm wrong?

Pentium24 votes

I've been saying this since forever, yet people keep telling me I'm a garbage player and I could just walk around it, yeah right, because it is that easy to reposition, especially if it is a jungle entrance, should I just flash the regular jungle wall to be able to deal dmg or ban him in champ select? Not sure which is the smarter play.

Daddy Ants5 votes

I'm no Yasuo player but how is that any different from any other late game champion?

Fiora Gangplank Vayne Twitch Jinx Cassiopeia Velkoz can all get back into a game just by farming for items.

grug4 votes

i usually ban him because the windwall can potentially invalidate an entire teamfight or block a spell that could lead to a potential game-ending teamfight.

DragonShea4 votes

Simple solution. Nerf his crit damage, seriously it's such a big part of his power so if that goes, so does his hyper scaling.

Jayce Top4 votes

Why I ban Yasuo.

E-E-E-E-Q-E-Q-E-Q-W (tornadoes me) Fun shit.

Raiyza3 votes

No hes always banned because of his insane mobility and windwall.

Mouth Stuff2 votes

His "insane mobility" is completely dependent on minions or multiple champions clumped up which is why one of the main counterplays is to run into the jungle and then engage

Lauchmelder5 votes

His "main counterplay" sadly isn't executable during laning phase, which is the main reason I ban him.

Can't be arsed to play against a bitch spamming Q and E throughout the entirety of the laning phase.
