There are far better offensive lifesteal items, and Hexdrinker is better for defense against AP. The active is borderline useless now with every team, and nearly every new champion, having layered CC and knockups. It's just an "Are you playing against Malz?" item.
Kuronii Lumiira1 votesCleanse and QSS are still vital for immobile champions against a CC-heavy team. It's not just to cleanse suppressions, you know. It can still be used on any CC, and using it in a situation that would have ended in your death, where instead you got away or were able to turn the fight in your favour simply by being there. is what can end up winning games.
e46 Fanatic1 votesI feel ya about the whole 'with how much cc there is, why even grab a qss im fked anyways' but that is a horrible way to look at it. It is a very effective item and you can never go wrong with qss when against cc

as support. They have a long duration cc that needs to be avoided(or erased) to avoid the person being hit's death.
