tbh almost every assassin/mobile champ could have killed you in that situation after you used your W+E combo like that while you are behind.

would have dashed through the wave and kill you before you could even reach the tower.

could have easily killed you too because he has a good gapcloser.

would just W and E you and prob Ult E you on top of that so you would be rooted and prob also dead before reaching the tower.

She had a level lead, and had just backed as you clearly were trying to prep the wave to back.

The all-in technically ended in your favor, as she likely didn't have enough gold to get anything impactful after the kill, missed a wave at her tower, and gave more experience and gold to you for the return kill.

Why did you use your W?

I mean Katarina hard counters you and you still did well and killed her as well despite your misplay which got you into that problematic situation in the first place.

Try karma. She counters kat imo. Shield yourself when she throws the dagger at you, poke her down to hell with your q, and the best is use your W when you fight because the root cancels her ult

first you had the missfortune of blowing your spells on minions

second, you have to know that daggers will collapse 125 units behind you everytime which meant if you went either toward katarina, or turned into a 90° to run away you would have dodged a lot of damage from passive
