It's significantly better than previous event Missions that didn't give players a choice of map. Forcing players onto SR isn't any better than forcing players into ARAM.

However, there's a conspicuous absence here. What happened to the Twisted Treeline?

"Win 2 match-made games." As read, it should work on any map. The poro thing is probably just added because of the season. Far more important: it shows Riot is willing to make these types of quests. And this will no doubt be held against them in the future if/when they make more missions with arbitrary map requirements.

The first Mission should work on any map, but not some of the later ones. Four of the nine Missions offered don't seem possible on the Treeline. "Be Nice" and "Be Naughty" specify LotPK/ARAM and SR/ARURF, respectively. "Nice Santa (1)" only has SR and HA objectives. "Naughty Santa (3)" requires two Baron kills.

It doesn't even seem that hard to adapt the requirements for Treeline either. "Win X Treeline games," "Get Y kills and/or assists on Treeline," and "Kill Z Vilemaws as a team" would fit perfectly with the existing Missions.

I'm not getting discounted shit because none of it is anything I'd care about. Gave me a discount on the worst TF skin being the only character I play of all the things in "Your Shop". You're still missing the point though. "Events" were part of the reason (more like excuse lmao) that was presented to defend Riot in the shitstorm that came after the OE nerfs. People who actually spent money on lootboxes in preseason (thank fuck I'm not one of them) are sure thrilled to see all this.

I actually agree. If we had small BE bonuses from missions like with FWotD, I think people’s complaints with the BE system might be alleviated.

? You get 650 BE and a decent amount of XP from completing these missions. You are basically getting an entire level worth of rewards for just playing the game while also getting another level by simply doing the missions (from the xp you get naturally).

Been a bit since I read this thread, but I think I was referring to missions as a whole and not just to this mission specifically. Even if it means they cut down on the XP you get from them, it’ll still “feel” a bit better than just pure XP and help with people’s grievances with BE.

One mission requires you to win 3 games in ARAM or Legend of the Poro King. The other mission requires you to win 3 SR games or 3 ARURF games.

And players who don't like SR had to deal with previous event Missions that could only be completed on SR. Luckily, Riot seems to have made Missions more inclusive this time. The "Be Nice" Missions require Poro King or ARAM; "Be Naughty" requires SR or ARURF. Kinda sucks if you don't like the game mode, yet want that Mission's rewards though.

I prefer missions that result in boxes/skin shards. IMO the last PROJECT event was the best. This is definitely not bad tho, especially if they do it frequently. Here's hoping for double xp weekends.
