For the past month I've been wanting to try out champions like Renekton and Singed up top, but I'm utterly terrified of being matched against a ranged champ. It's absolute hell being poked down when you're vs someone like Gnar or Vayne top or w.e

Top lane, from what I can remember, NEVER had a stable match-up roster. It's pretty much a "fill-in" role, where almost anything can go. People just like to put melee bruisers there for some reason.

Renekton has a double dash and can take on "most" range champions and for singed you just proxy or the range champion will lose CS under tower trying to chase you.
