Pretty sure nobody complains about Zed's assassination pattern, and when Yasuo does it he usually requires additional setup, both have counterplay while Akali doesn't.

8 of the champions you mentioned have clear counterplay despite having huge range, so there goes your argument. If you have counterplay you're allowed to do stuff, when you don't you just get gutted.

I complain about Zed, not his assassinations though. I complain about his ranged wave clear and ungankability so you can't even shut him down ever in lane unless he literally sucks more than a Hoover.

Don't like Yasuo or Leblanc either. Say what you want but at least Akali fucking dies when you catch her ass.

Yes that his main problem he is too safe, but his kit has clear counterplay, probably the most counterplay out of any assassin, that's reason why he is allowed to be so safe.

People complain about Akali?

As for Zed and Yasuo, people hate their laning phases more than anything else. Assassins assassinating is not a problem. But it is damn near impossible to beat either Zed or Yasuo in CS or in lane, even as a mage (the class that is supposed to have strong waveclear and pushing power at the cost of mana). You basically have to rely on them making a really bad mistake in order to have any chance at catching and killing them. That or you can counterpick them with Annie or Malzahar.

Not all champions with a mana bar really have mana costs or mana issues, and in some cases mana becomes a nonexistent factor after a point in the game or 1 single item. Some of them can also kill multiple targets in 1 rotation, so mana costs are irrelevant if they have the mana to use their rotation several times even though only one is needed. Even in lane, if they land their abilities you are forced to recall or die before they actually go oom as well.
