Does anybody else get the tear item pinged like 50 times a game by the game?

It's annoying because I main tear on pretty much 90% of my champion roster, and as soon as I buy tear it's just this the entire game:

I'll be a 15/3 Kayn and make 1 mistake, the game pings tear for me - and then my team flames the living fuck out of me because this community is actual hell. Can we get a fix for this soon? Because honestly I'm probably going to have to just mute everybody. It's not game breaking of a bug but it's like putting gasoline on an already toxic and burning community.

If it's really and truly is you pinging it, it's probably some weird thing on your end, as it's not a global issue.

I'd be willing to bet quite a bit that you're not actually pinging it though, and it's a teammate pinging it, particularly given you note that a teammate is giving you a hard time over it.

I usually just ping the item to my team so they share my pain. #balanced

but why build tear on Kayn? Not like he's mana hungry and in fact, he has one of the highest base mana regens in the game.

Because it gives the most AD of all of the AD items, and does additional damage when I want to proc thunderlords - it also enables me to never go back until I need to transform on Kayn, which is usually around 13-18 minutes.

I don't get what the bug is... the game isn't pinging the item, it's your teammates. When anyone pushes tab and clicks on an item in anyone's inventory, the chat shows (Summoner Name): (Item Name) without showing the name of who pinged it. I'm not sure if you're joking or not because you say 'the game pings it' multiple times in the post.

No, it's literally me pinging myself when I'm not even looking at the item. Most of the time it's when I'm killing people or something of little relevance. This concept really isn't THAT hard to understand.

Damn you're so sure of yourself that you'd cut your own foot off just to be right, and you weren't even in the game to begin with. It shows up as myself pinging it, how about you grow the fuck up and stop being a nasty little bug - yeah? If somebody else is pinging me it says their name then the players item. It states that I'm pinging myself.

Buy me a skin if I go back and get the clip, and then prove you wrong. It needs to be 950 RP or more.

Is the reverse true where you'll buy us a skin when it turns out you're mistaken?

Remember, if you're player1, and player2 pings your item, it'll display: "player1:item" with no reference to player2, so it'd be very interesting if you've got multiple bugs affecting you alone, so not only is it saying "Player2:player1:item" for you when teammates ping your item, you're also managing to ping yourself unintentionally.

Also, you said that the ping looks like "yourname:item" and not "yourname:yourname:item", which makes it sound like things are working as intended.

Did you even read my comments? I literally said that when a teammate pings your item it shows up as your name, with not even the teammate's name attached to it, which is exactly what you are describing. My friend and I do it to each other all the time in game. Please go into a game and ping someone else's item, and have someone else ping yours. NO MATTER WHO PINGS IT, IT SHOWS UP ONLY WITH THE OWNER OF THE ITEM'S NAME.
