I'd like to share my last games experience against a Yasuo

Let's start off by saying that I won the game.

I played Cassiopeia into Yasuo

A few weeks ago, I was rank 250th Cassi in the world at D5 89 LP, before I tilted my way down and had a series of unfortunate events to put me where I am now, I say this so you know that I know Cassi mechanics.

We came out of laning phase with Yasuo at 0/3/0 and I was 7/1/4Cassiopeia

I had 2v1 Yasuo and the enemy jungle, and destroyed the Yasuo 1v1.

Then the Yasuo rotated bot lane to split push while I team fought on other parts of the map. My bot lane Karma Varus rotated bot to stop the split push.

It so happens that when Yasuo rotated, he bought before hand and hit an item spike item 3031 item 3046.

Can you guess what happened? Enemy double kill, Yasuo 2v1 my bot lane. after being starved of kills and experience early game, and some CS, he still managed to destroy my bot lane.

This gave Yasuo some gold, and let him snowball a little bit.

The game proceeded on more lengthy than it should have BECAUSE Yasuo could now kill and team fight efficiently, even though being so far behind early game.

The issue with Yasuo is actually his entire kit, he needs a complete over hall, not a small one. The items he buys makes him good because of the quickness that he can deal his damage and weave around his windwall. I really think Riot screwed up on the basis of even creating a champion of this kind.

Can't trust teammates to know how to deal with Yasuo, also you need hard CC or reliable damage that gets past windwall in order to deal with him.

But with the stupid amount of outplay potential + damage he has it's not really that simple to do that.

Karma root.

That's all they needed to both survive and getting the kill.

I didn't watch the entire fight, just the end, but the Karma didn't look like an idiot, she rooted when she needed to in other fights, so I assume she did.

So you outplayed him, and he outplayed your bot lane, and you're mad he was allowed to outplay your bot lane? could he not be equally as salty that you could outplay him when he's supposed to counter ranged champs?

It was your laners' fault for not respecting a powerspike.

If you're so bad you let your lane opponent go 7/1/4 while you go 0/3/0, maybe you shouldn't be allowed to scale back into the game just because your champ is designed to do so. And that makes it a design problem.

At some point 'behind', you are just meant to stay behind, you know. This is kinda the point of snowballing and punishing your opponents, otherwise what's the point if you are just gonna scale into late-game no matter what you do as long as you actually have IQ more than 1 digit and don't play like absolutely dog shit?

Not really. A full build 0/10 Vayne is going to be as big a threat as an 10/0 full build Vayne by nature of being full build.

Yeah, but that generally don't happen (as in 0/10 but full build) because the players you've fed 10 kills to will generally make sure it doesn't happen by denying you everything, or they'd just close the game if they could. Unless you're getting carried, then that's a different story. But it isn't really applicable in this scenario because it's about Yasuo carrying himself back to relevance after being so behind against his opponent, pretty much merely thanks to the virtue of his design.

Actually, what I see is that after giving a double kills to his laner due to a fail gank, Yasuo managed to play defensively and not feed out of proportion by only dying 3 times. I don't call that bad. And Cassio still had 7 kills / 11 KP, so Yasuo had reasons to be salty against his own team-mates.

Lol no, compare Yasuo to any other mid lane champ, if they were shut down 0/3/0, behind in experience and CS, do you think they would be able to 1v2 a bot lane easily?

five oh tree 2 votes

I'll compare him to other SKIRMISHERS. In which case, yes, 0/3/0 Trynd/Ekko/Yi/Fiora/Jax can all 1v2 bot lanes when they hit their powerspikes through farming.

Nope. A starved Kat, Akali, Rengar, Khaz...wouldn't be able to 2v1 duel a bot lane. Unless, that botlane was just dumb and missed every spell. Even still though, Yasuo, has such high defensive and offensive capabilities it's almost impossible to stop him at some point in the game.

I had a match against Yas as Shen were my jungle camped top. Killed him 4 times and denied him CS hard in the early to mid game. Then came his first item (PD) after that it was all downhill from there. He became too slippery to gank, his critical made it super easy to farm and poke, his ultimate shredded my armor...etc. Yes, his kit is unhealthy and anyone saying you need to do this or do that isnt looking at the picture as a whole.

Spicy Rice2 votes

Yes, because comparing skirmishers to assassins is how we should decide on champion balance. God forbid we compare them to their own respective champion class

Easily? Were your bot lane running it down their lane? ''Lol no'' SHOW US A REPLAY.

Windwall is a pretty broken ability but what can they take from him that wont make him an entirely new champ? Think before you answer whilee i also explain His passive probably the most hatted thing in league atm Double crit and a shield ever 7-10 seconds depending on how good your movement with yasuo is.

So the double crit chance- I feel riot meant well when they first put this in the game however with all the changes to crit based items yasuos kits mainly got eveen more bolstered by nearly every game you get item 3046 and item 3031 he becomes the best dueling champ in the game so i feel maybe by changing his windwall and maybe remove the double crit chance for a bonus AD scale based on % crit kinda like Jhin passive this will not only stop the 2 item power spikee but also make yasuo a champ with a diffeerent build path!

Love to hear your thoughts and feedback on what ive said here

Stars Shaper2 votes

No information of his botlane status (level, kills, etc).

Where were you in the meanwhile? An unfed Yasuo cna't split push fast enough while your team with a fed Cassio.

Edit: Downvote without reply = lack of arguments. gg.

lol this is too stupid m8. You countered Yasuo and beat him early game when he is weak, then you expected him to be down the whole game? The point of late game champions is they come back, like idk what you think they do. Yasuo went to your bottom lane, where he counters them and got kills off of two laners who didn't have the smarts to cc him, clearly, and burst him. And even though you won, you are still complaining? The problem is you clearly are playing a stupid click and point champion and take nothing else into account. Late game, all late game champions come back, rocket science i know, right?

You climbed Elos with all of the clearly cheap point/click champions like orianna/cass/leblanc, who in themselves are broken and op, and want to cry about a game you won, even though 3 people on your team fed and the other team was actually ahead and clearly had a better overall kda, aside from shen. M8 git gud.

I don't think 2 items is late game.

I don't think 2 items is late game.

It's usually 20 minutes for Yasuo to get both items, if she actually beat him in lane as she says she did and denied him farm. As for Yasuo spiking, both karma and varus, along with cass, have cc, If they didn't cc and burst him that is their own fault for sucking and deserved the deaths.

KoKoboto1 votes

20 minutes is a stretch even for 0/3, he probably got 2nd item a bit earlier than that even if you deny him. Note that Yasuo was sent to split push so that he wouldn't feed. Cassiopeia's team probably tried to do stuff like take mid but I guess they couldn't really get that much. Regardless leaving Yasuo alone in lane is a complicated decision because he can farm so easily with E Q, in other words he farmed up really fast. Main point here is that I'm guessing he got his items before 20 minutes, also 20 minutes is not late game

Varus and Karma don't have enough hard CC to stop Yasuo. Karma only has tether but that isn't instant meaning Yasuo can gap close and be in range before the tether comes down. Also the tether is only 1s unless mantra'd. Karma Q which is not hard CC so doesn't matter and Varus R can be windwalled. Yasuo has the upperhand and it's not cause they suck it's because Yasuo as a champion has the better tools for that situations.

So in conclusion, Cassiopeia stays mid and gets shit done along with her team. Yasuo goes bot and split pushes fast because of the nature of his kit, farms up fast and gets 2 items. Karma and Varus don't expect a 0/3 Yasuo to beat them and figure with their own leads should not be under much pressure. Yauso is able to kill them cause 2x bullshit crit passive and 0/3 doesn't mean shit.

Lmfao calling ori/cass/LB "point and click champions" when all 3 of these are incredibly skill shot reliant with only ONE point and click ability each.

This guy, what a jackwagon.

abca981 votes

Can you post the moment when they died? Becasue I hate Yasuo too, but even I recognize that it's hard to lose a 2v1.

awdaf1 votes

Well, without really bashing anyone, and I don't feel like making a video right now, the skills of my ADC that game weren't, that great to say the least.

abca981 votes

Happens too often.

Spicy Rice2 votes

Then how is this a problem with yasuo? Your teammates got outplayed

Just Blame Jenny1 votes

Most immobile ADCs struggle with Yasuo. It sounds like he poached a lane he could fight, and managed to get back into the game because of it.

There's this odd notion I've noticed among some players that being ahead of another champion should mean you automatically beat them in a fight. But that's hardly true. Some champions have an edge over others by virtue of their kits. (Scaling plays into this, too. As do counter builds.)

By way of example, MissFortune could be half an item ahead of the enemy Draven and still easily lose a 1v1 to him. She's a team fighter, not a duelist. Whereas Draven excels at shredding single targets. Draven winning this fight doesn't mean that he's broken. It just means he's better at 1v1ing other ADCs than Miss Fortune is.
