Tristana is the closest thing to a split-pushing ADC that we have?

At least when I play Tristana, that's the strategy I use with her most of time: clear waves, splitpush. Her E makes taking towers extremely easy and fast.

Technically any ADC can splitpush, but on my opinion Tristana is far more suitable for splitpushing than any other ADC for a couple of reasons. She can clear waves pretty easily with Explosive Charge's passive, without even needing to use Statikk Shiv for that. She can evaporate towers by activating Explosive Charge on them and using Rapid Fire to take them faster. If anything goes wrong, such as enemies trying to stop me, I can just escape with Rocket Jump, and if needed, use Buster Shot to disengage from them.

By splitpushing and farming, I accumulate gold, and when late game comes, I have enough range and a powerful build to use at teamfights. While Tristana is less powerful than Jinx/Vayne/Kog/Maw/Twitch in terms of damage during late game, Tristana has an advantage over all of them: mobility (except in case of Vayne, which also has mobility; but Tristana has the range advantage over her)

People don't usually understand why I always does that, but this strategy almost always works.

Sivir's known to be a split pushing adc.

Well, she was before her VU at least, I dunno about now.

Tristana works because she can easily escape a lot of things though. Which is why she'd be able to split push more often with better profit.

Whether or not you splitpush and stay with your team really depends on how the game is going and if your team really needs you or not.

Usually your team will need you unless you're low on cs and/or just not plain doing well.

And what is this doing in gameplay and balance?

Jinx pushes waves faster. Pretty sure she kills turrets at a comparable rate too.

But regardless, she doesnt have mobility like Trist.

Tryndamere is the closest thing to a split-pushing ADC we have. By epitomizing a split-pusher harder than anything else imaginable.

If you use the term Attack Damage Carry, you're not excluding melee champions like you would with the term Marksman. And when it comes to the few melee ADCs - they're strategy is often very heavily pushed into the split-pushing direction.

In terms of marksman: Quinn

For split-pushing finesse, there's mainly 2 things that are really important:

  1. escape potential
  2. dueling power/global teleport.

AoE/wave-clear really isn't that important. It's to easy to itemize for to really matter.

The main draw of split-pushing is actually getting something out of the situation when your opponents try to stop you.

In most cases - that's a case of a champion being an amazing duelist and awful team-fighter, where split-pushing over sticking with a team has it's clear advantages, and allows duelists to really flex their muscles over being dead weight. If a champion that split-pushes is a better team-fighter: the strategy is being able to fight a 5v4 or 5v3 by drawing opponents up top-lane and then global-teleporting to their team for a big push.

Tristana has solid escape potential - but her dueling potential is pretty mediocre. I don't see most fighter, mage, or assassin fights tipping in her favor by default. Marksman, support, and tank duels yes - those are usually all team-fight power, no dueling potential picks. But I'd ultimately say don't split-push with Tristana every game - look at who's going to be sent at you and plan accordingly. Over half the time you'll probably serve your team better by sticking with them.

Sivir, trist, kalista, jinx, lucian, graves

All of these champs are good split pushers if they ward well. All of them have strong waveclear and have means of escaping when the enemy team comes to stop them (graves and lucian often build youmuus, too).
