The jungle role is too volatile and is turning ranked into a shit show
The losing team's jungle has been the primary reason for the loss in every single one of my ranked game so far, either directly or indirectly.
Once the jungle gets behind, it drags the entire team down with it. It becomes food for the enemy solo lanes and can't fulfill its' entire purpose of securing objectives. There's no option of 'play safe and try to catch up,' because having to concede camps is just as crippling as dying.
Any single bad thing that happens to the jungle immediately snowballs out of control. In most of my games, the jungle dies pre-level 6 or loses a buff, completely gives up, and starts spamming FF 15. And I don't blame them, because they can't even play the game. If the enemy team's jungle does something stupid, I can just permanently invade it for free gold, and ensure it never has a chance to catch up.
This might be okay if the jungle itself had to make a mistake, except both the solo lanes and the jungle itself are equally responsible for the jungle's success. I can't even play jungle to mitigate the chance of getting a losing jungle, because I'm still completely reliant on the solo lanes performing well and maintaining priority.
Additionally, this also completely fucks over mid lane, because you're now forced to play strong early game champions or assassins, in order to maintain priority for your jungle.
The current state of ranked is an atrocity; there was a similar issue in previous seasons, but you could at least mitigate it by playing jungle. Why aren't we seeing any changes to improve this?
