So my CSing has gone up with my rank...
...not because I've actually gotten better at CSing, but because my teammates are less likely to go full retard and engage 4v5 while I clean up a huge minion wave.

My guess is you're also a lot better at CSing. :)
Why are you disagreeing with OP? He literally said he hasn't actually gotten better at CSing, who are you to say otherwise?

Well, knowing WHEN to CS is part of being better at CS.
I'm great at getting ahead, maintaining that lead into Mid Game... but being a Support Main, regardless of Role I still have that tendency to be 'less greedy' and break off Farming to help others. So I tend to lose that huge lead come Late Game in CS (but then I still have a Gold Lead because we took the proper Objectives and got Global Gold... I started a Thread earlier where I showed a 48 CS Sejuani having more Gold than a 258 CS Gangplank, and the GP had 1 extra Kill over the Sej, though Sej had 11 more Assists that isn't enough to by-pass 1 Kill and 210 CS... it was the Shut Downs and Objectives that gave Sej over 750 more Gold than GP.)
So Gold is what is important... which CS is the easiest but not the only method of gaining Gold.
I still need to keep the pedal down, at least until I have 6 Items (at which point CS becomes useless)... that's where I need to improve on CS now the most. But if you are smart, you can make that CS Gold up through improved Team Play.

OR if you're
now is ALWAYS the time to CS!
Except when you run out of minions.
Then you CS towers.
i just dont understand this kind of people. imo there is nothing wrong with that rioters entry but you went full jerk with your comment. talking shit to someone without a real reason is pathetic. and s/he wrote 'my guess', so who are you to tell him that he is wrong for making an assumption?
Gotta love the ppl here who get off on deliberately misunderstanding others and then 'correcting' them. Bonus points when they do it to a red
SAY SOMETHING ABOUT SOLO QUEUE!!!
I can.
solo queue not existing is just an excuse bad players make when they lose.
I actually posted about how I don't blame dynamic queue for me making a bad call or feeding.
^ Seen here <3
Maybe, it's more likely that he's only a lot better coordinating with his Challenjour friends to play League together so they can all be Challenjour.
Well, mine sure hasn't.
Play
with
and you will either never get gold, or become a god at last hitting.
On a side note, love it when my team is shoving down mid with Tryndamere split pushing, then my teams to tell me to stop the split push once i revive...I'm

Omg if i had a minion for every time my team wanted to engage in a pointless fight the same time a cannon wave is coming up to me.... I'd probably have decent CS
A huge part of why high elo players get high CS is wave management, and it's very understated how much teamwork goes into proper wave management. It's a given that in a bloody clown fiesta you probably wont even have the opportunity to maximize CS.
even in high masters games you see people with 100-150 CS in 30-35 minute games when it's the kind of game that has 7 kills before minions spawn and keeps that rythm until the end
This is a big part of why my favorite answer to the "how much CS should I have at 20 minutes?" question is "more than the opposing laner".
I always make myself have at least 70 CS by 10 mins, if I don't then I was either roaming a lot or need to work on cs'ing.
You climb as your mechanics get better, don't sell yourself short.
You climb and fall on a whim of other players and matchmaking in general.
Ultimately it's always up to luck to get people who aren't a dead-weight and allow themselves to get carried.
"Check it out. Dustin Hoffman, 'Rain Man,' look retarded, act retarded, not retarded. Counted toothpicks, cheated cards. Autistic, sho'. Not retarded. You know Tom Hanks, 'Forrest Gump.' Slow, yes. Retarded, maybe. Braces on his legs. But he charmed the pants off Nixon and won a ping-pong competition. That ain't retarded. Peter Sellers, "Being There." Infantile, yes. Retarded, no. You went full retard, man. Never go full retard. You don't buy that? Ask Sean Penn, 2001, "I Am Sam." Remember? Went full retard, went home empty handed..."
i love when i am the support and a big huge gigantic wave is coming at one turret and no one in my team wants to clear it, so i have to stay there for 1 minute trying to clear it
and of course every time i have to clear a wave, my team or engages in a fight 4v5 fight or (since they cant ward around, thats not their job) the get engaged by enemy team
idk what to do, maybe its better to let enemy winnions destroy the turret, i should just ignore and join my team in the fight, with hope, we can end the game
The worst is sona. This happened to me as sona one time and I had to clear 3 waves of minions before I could leave. I went from like 3 to 70 minions in one wave lol
or soraka, you spend 30 hour trying to kill one caster and the worst is you dont even get the gold for killing minion
mines actually gone down alot XD I used to get something like 8+ a min when I was in silver earlier this season, now I'm usually like 6-7 in plat..
Whenever somebody picks Vlad into my lane, my CS goes down... Because I farm champions instead.

tyvm.
no prob bro, gotta be on the good side of those resident sleeper English teachers.
May I ask, are you queueing solo or premade? Thx :)

Sometimes solo, sometimes duo, occasionally a 3-man premade. I mostly play normals now that I hit a milestone (reach same rank as last season), but I played a ranked game yesterday and I'm going to start playing ranked again.
Cool beans ^_^
Why do people always assume their team is choosing to engage when they're off split pushing, farming, or something like that?
They just see "Enemy triple kill!" in the chat and they automatically assume.
But you know, sometimes the enemy team has Alistar or Leona or Malphite, and they forcefully engage and they don't allow your team to say no.
The difference between ranks is pretty huge. Even Challenger players can get dumpstered on but the difference between a Bronzil and a Challenger (in this example) is knowing when to stop feeding. Challengers (and highly ranked people, Diamond 2+) know when they are behind and outclassed by a few unfortunate events that happened so they are less likely to engage the situations they are not sure they will win.
Meaning they will fight only the battles they think they can get something out of and losing an objective is infinitely times better than still losing it and having your team wiped. Since everyone has this knowledge, the teams (of random players) are very good at reading the situation and flow of the game, setting thesmelves up for mid-late game fights if needed.
It's a completely opposite mindset for lower ranked people. Mostly because they don't want to admit to themselves that they are behind and thinking that doing the same thing over and over again will give them different results - when in fact they are just digging a deeper hole for their team to fall in. And partially because they don't have this experience and that only comes after playing a lot of games and learning through trial and error.
##The only problem i see in the majority of low ranked games is that players are almost all thick headed (which is a bad trait to have) and there's little trial and error and open-mindedness.
Lower elo games do tend to lead to lower CS numbers on average simply due to all the constant fighting, yes. You'll see CS numbers in high elo games drop quite a bit as well when the "clown fiesta" game pops up.
I feel you so hard, idk if i should go clear a huge minion wave or teamfight sometimes. like what do i do? (they wont listen to pings)
I backdoor at that point. I litteraly just played a game as Diana and tool the entire top lane while my team defended the mid tower. They went back 1 by 1 and I killed every one of them. We then did the same thing to bottom Lane. Granted I was playing against retardS but it can work for you.
So is it bad that I, instead of tracking my cs, track my gold income instead? Everything I play whatever role, I check how much gold I need for my items. For example, when playing top lane, I usually stay in lane until, either I get out traded and need to back, feel that I'm going to get dived, or just have enough gold more my items by csing or getting kills. My mentality is instead of counting creep score, it is counting how much gold I have.
...not because I've actually gotten better at CSing, but because my teammates are less likely to go full retard and engage 4v5 while I clean up a huge minion wave.
That and laners don't go as hyper aggressive as they do in trash elo.
It's pretty hard to cs when the enemy laner wants to nonstop fight and ignores his cs.
100 percent agree!!! died laughing when I read the original post!
