The current state of ADC balance is statistically awful

Plat+ statistics on ADC in ranked. Two ADCs have a combined pick rate of 68.8%:

Kai'Sa: 34.8%
Ezreal: 34%

The next most popular ADC is Vayne with a play rate of 16.4%; less than half that. Speaking of Vayne, she is banned in 30.9% of games.

What about the 4th most picked champion? Jinx. She has a fairly high but not extreme pick rate and pretty low ban rate, but she has a win rate of 54.1%; currently second only to Sona for the highest winrate in the game period.

Normally one shouldn't take stats in a vacuum, but all 4 of these champions are extreme statistical outliers in one way or another with a perfectly reasonable sample size of games.

In Korea it's even worse both champions got 50% pick rate which is 100% pick rate , idk how exactly it works here but

Not gonna deny that those stats are huge but There are less than 20 Marksmen in the game what about Junglers? there are more than 30+ and like 10 champions played there that aren't originally junglers like Karthus

Here we have LeeSin , with 30% pick rate By having to compare his pick rate to the number of junglers , his stats are much higher than Ezreal or Kai'sa Since the number of junglers is more than double of the numbers of Marksmen

as for other adc's , I believe , most of marksmen got decent pick rate Only 5 of them got lower than 5% pick rate ( not counting Draven because he always had low pick rate with high winrate because only his one tricks play him )

Ezreal Fits the meta so much , being good in early , safe , and scales too good ( unlike the old days where he used to fall )

Kaisa Why pick Tristana Kalista Varus Twitch KogMaw when you can just pick Kaisa ? This champion is just too good , the only way to actually make other ad carries playable is by gutting this champion She is just too good for a champion.

as for Vayne idk , She is broken overall and toxic whenever she is a strong pick Jinx is overall an over buffed champion They gave her 3 or 4 straight compensation buffs for the ad items nerfs , then they buffed the ad items again Which explains her stats

All that matters for adc champions is which one does the most damage. This will rotate but no amount of rebalancing of the role will change that.

ezreal and kasai are picked because draven and vayne are pretty much banned. They are also very safe and have mixed damage making it hard to itemize agaisnt them. You stack armor ezreal can swap out his triforce or gauntlet for a lichbane and demolish you without making many adjustments to his core build. Same for kasai she can sell some ad items to get a nashor tooth and deathcap/lichbane and pretty much delete you with mixed damage. they are also safe dont require much in terms of team protection, which you wont find ever in solo Q as its all assassins and mage supports/junglers/top laners being most stuff like jax/riven/ireia. trust me you dont wanna be ashe/twitch/mf into any of the popular picked mid/top/junglers right now.
