Can Swain's E get the same as Irelia's E?

Swain E's into the Fog of war and can hit a enemy and gets the line to proc his Passive, but has no vision so cant actually proc it.

Irelia E's into fog of war and hits a target and she gets vision so she can Q to them (or her team can do what ever)

Why wouldn't you just use your w for vision on Swain?

because its also an extremely valuable damaging, cc'ing, and healing tool with a long cd. unless you know you can safely assume you wont need it for the next 20 ish seconds and you at least suspect there may be an enemy champion where you place the w, its usually best in my experience to save it.

But you hit e in this scenario, meaning w hit is basically guaranteed and allows you to use your passive.

Me too, to be honest. Thought he's saying about initiating it with W, then E.

Because everyone knows that despite its description

All it does is pay 110 mana to steal a kill

Why does Irelia's E give vision?

Probably to stop people from bush camping top lane to deny her q's.

that could be a good idea but it could also be big buff that puts him in the red zone in power. likely not, but i will say it would be a nice QoL buff

Do you know what a QoL buff is? That's just a straight buff, it would give him vision where he previously had none. A QoL buff would be something added that doesn't make him any stronger in any sense of the word for someone who has mastered him. A QoL buff would be, say, if Swain didn't have the line indicating he can pull a CCed target, then adding that line would be a QoL buff, because it makes it easier for someone to play him and understand him, but doesn't actually change anything about how strong he actually is for someone who has already adapted to not having the line.
