Is volibear jg any good and how will midseason item changes effect him

I like volibear. I used to play him when he was considered an op pick but not an annoying pick. Everyone was too focused on fiddlesticks, veigar, etc. Recently they decided to but his ultimate hit 8 targets let me beta yi's alpha strike which was his ultimate before his q. No "unbearable" pun intended 😉. He can still solo carry like any the there bruiser but not as common as something like you if he gets fed. That's how every bruiser is. He w can exicute targets at 1/4th hp early. It's cool how it does that. It's damage is getting lowered since they are shifting heath to resistances. Sterak's and warmogs are getting buffed. Black cleaver is getting nerfed. They are lowering the armor reduction per hit by 1% which in total is 6% gone. Other potential pitfalls are kiting, slow clears, ignite, and grieavous wounds. That aside is he any good and how hard of a hit are the health to resistance changes since his w scales with bonus hp.
