Support main* here - I see little value in going to tier 3 support items

With the exception of item 3401 on the tank supports granting 10% cdr and a decent health boost from the gold and item slot investment, the final upgrade is an absolute last purchase, if ever a purchase at all before selling off the item for any utility item or even a deathcap.

item 3098 -> item 3092 is 10 AP and some irrelevant amount of health for the characters that buy it for 600g

item 3096 -> item 3069 is just a paltry amount of health and regen useful exclusively for a Soraka with item 3083, again for 600g.

An extra ward doesn't make up the difference in price at all. When these items were built out of sightstone it wasn't for the value they offered as a gold purchase, but rather as a means of optimizing the efficiency of supports' item slots.

With sightstone removed, the upgrade feels like a complete waste of gold since the support items give wards and useful stats on their own already.

item 3312 and Ruby sightstone offered options in echange for item slot use, giving the four wards and more frequent ghosts tracking, same with item 3309 and Ruby!ss. As is, there's just better use of 600 gold at any point. That's a boot upgrade, or a finished item 3222 or just 50 gold off from item 3107, or hell, just spending an item slot to get 25 extra AP for an enchanter's spells.

*Actually, Poppy top main four times over any other character in any other role, but I play a wider range of supports more often overall.

you don´t see much value because there is none xD (besides item 3307 like u mentioned)

After they fucked support items and basically made them glorified sightstones you go item 3310 --> item 3098, ignore it till you are full build and upgrade it to item 3312 as a last item just like ruby-sightstone before. (well scratch that, since there was actually a reason to buy it earlier if u wanted the extra active cdr, but this left the player some room of choice and god forbid supports making meaningful decisions in their build or playsyles.)
