Now, I am sure some will disagree, but the boards are not a good medium for discussing the issues with Riot. In fact, the number of individual users who utilize the board is very small relative to those who play the game. To this end, I have a suggestion.
Use the actual game client itself. For example, if there is a complaint about a champion, it is a poor idea to listen to individuals who do not have a good amount of experience utilizing this champion. My suggestion, would be to provide an option survey for those who have reached Mastery 5 for these champions.
Why Mastery 5 and not 6 and 7?
Individuals who have reached such a high mastery level, while having more experience, may also be closer to having bias towards the individual. Those who are also one tricks may not have the necessary knowledge to evaluate on a more objective level.
Furthermore, this also allows Riot to obtain data from the customer base it serves, since the majority will not be utilizing the discussion boards themselves.
This also means gaining valuable data in what Riot is doing right.
Everyone is going to say what is wrong. That is easy. Pointing out the large pimple on your face is easy.
It is much more difficult to determine what is right.
Conduct surveys which are a bit more intimate on what is going well with the game.
Ask what they enjoy the most about the game. Leave it open ended or provide a choice of 6 to 7 checkboxes.
Feel free to hire me btw. Why add this? Why not?
Preferably before I finish my requisites for nursing.
