Tired of losing every game; looking for a mentor

Me and my brother play League frequently these days. But we lose way too much. I dunno if it's because we as players are just terrible, if it's because we always land teams full of morons, or what... But I'm tired of always losing. The few victories we get just don't feel worth it when your K/D/A is about 0/2/1 or 1/0/3. Makes you feel like you're just total garbage at the game. Always being outplayed doesn't really help matters, either. Doesn't matter what lane I am, or who I am, I feel like I'm always countered by whoever I go up against. (Except maybe Nautilus when I play Rumble. Ohoho, does Nautilus not stand a chance...)

So, since I'm just sick of playing the losing/crying game every time I boot up League, I'm going to do something I didn't think I'd ever do before - reach out to see if I can meet someone who's good at League that'd be willing to teach me how to play. And by that, I don't mean only running customs where you curbstomp my ass without actually teaching me - I already dealt with a 'mentor' like that, and I don't like it at all. I mean actually teaching, guiding, leading. Advice and the like. Possibly better item and rune sets than I already use. That sort of stuff.

I'm willing to listen. I'm willing to learn. Anything is better than constantly being the laughingstock of an entire team because I can hardly do jack diddly squat...

IMPORTANT

DO NOT PAY TO GET BETTER AT LEAGUE

Seriously, there are millions of free videos out there and people willing to help for free.

In your last 10 games you played 6 champs. As a start, you can't do that. I mean, it's normals so it's fine. But what you really want to do is eliminate the time between when an enemy fucks up, and when you react.

Responding to enemy failure needs to be instinctual.

I'd be happy to help for free.

About me: 6 years playing league, and similar games dota, etc.

I'm happy to teach someone who is "willing' to learn.

Be warned, you might like what I have to say, and you'll have to learn ALOT.

Sure, I’ll help. I can walk you through the basics, especially regarding fundamentals, kits, items, mentality, and approach to Ranked Soloqueue. Add me.

/r/summonerschool

leaguecraft playlist - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iko2tqmDpJQ

+random youtube videos of good players (im a midlaner so I watched bjergsen)

also learn how to play other champions at a decent level so you know what they're going for, and their requirements they need to meet before succeeding in their task (like fizz needing to land his R to kill you, or blitzcrank getting in a bush to zone you)

got me to plat in the first 2 seasons ive started playing, just make a concision effort to use resources and apply them. Say what and why you're doing things if you have to.

I've tried twice to get a mentor, both times were just people going into a 1v1 then stomping me without actually teaching me anything. They'll tell me what I'm doing wrong sure.. but how is that supposed to be help me with my macro game? or even countering other champs if you're just stomping me in a 1v1 on the same champ?

I've added you since you seem to legitimately want to learn. I'm climbing through the ranks only in Silver V myself, but I have no real problems with this, and my skill elvel is more gold I in most respects. My only personal suffering is my jungle clearing times that I need to work on.

Either way would be nice to have someone who wants to learn like I do, and maybe give each other some tips. I've added you ingame.

play one champion, hell you can play the same champion in every role at the mmr you are at. your builds seem to mostly make sense so you are ahead of most fresh level 30s. also there are a shitload of free coaches out there so just hit one of em up if you feel like you need someone to explain shit for you but it seems like you just need to narrow your champion pool and put in more hours.

I don't feel like I deserve to be in D5 (I think I play better) and I'm not sure about your rank but I'm always down to help a player get better, I've played since season 1 and have a natural affinity for games never going below gold V. Just send me a friend request!

just come back next season in hope of balance (not gonna happen), this season is trash, oh wait, you just hit level 30, fuck, dude just learn the game before you start making posts about mentors and shit

I can help if you really have your mind set on improvement. Been playing this game for 8 years now. Add me if you want to.

Well, thanks to most of you guys for the offers! I'll try to follow up on them all.

Except for that last post. Level 30 is prime time to get to learn the game, and the best way is to have someone guiding you with tips and tricks. Instead of telling me to "learn the game", which I ALREADY HAVE, you could offer some other advice that I might take. Instead of garbage like that.
