Is it bad to dodge an obviously-trolled game?

Now normally, I'm on the straight and narrow, or as straight and narrow someone who tries to play with their opponent's emotions can get. I sit through games that are clearly lost (until we're allowed to surrender, anyhow), and I keep trying, even if we've clearly lost.

But today, I was about to go into a match, when I noticed my adc telling the jungler to switch to smite. I didn't notice he'd been sitting on ignite instead. He ignored the entire team's pleas to switch to smite, and didn't do anything... So, to save the entire team, I just closed out of the client. I dodged, so three others wouldn't have to put up with a troll.

So is it a bad thing that I did that? I mean, sure, I have that stupid 5-minute wait timer because I did so, but the fact remains that had we not dodged, we'd probably have had someone purposefully feeding all game, ending with a rather painful defeat that nobody would have been able to shake off. And the guy would probably be laughing the whole while about it, too.

As a jungler, this season I have gone into ranked 3 times without smite (after having a game mid on my off-role -- which let's thank Riot because since Riot fixed how the position select works 90% of my games are my main role and I haven't had a single auto-fill game this season in any queue (300+ games); helps that I queue with a support main I'm sure). All 3 games I played without smite in ranked, we ended up winning. Granted this was Bronze ELO in S/D and MemeQue but it ends up working if you have a jungler who knows how to play the game. I lucked out and had picked tank champions for those games (Sej Nunu, and Rammus I believe) and went top lane to soak levels with Relic/Targons until like level 4, keeping my laner alive and providing support until I was high enough level to not die to jungle camps and still keep up with CS as the opposing jungler and just played like a second support for my team. I don't know how it would have played out if I had been a carry champion like a Graves, Evelynn or Kayn but I probably would have tried to play more focused on ganking and securing kills so I can get the early EXP and keep up with the enemy jungler.

Nobody cares if you dodge. Its a legitimate thing you have to do sometimes. You aren't going to get in any trouble for it.

Are you sure he's sitting there in champ select laughing or he is afk altogether? How do you know he's a troll and not someone who just played a different position, picked his champ and afk? I've played games where jungle have ignite/flash and still win. Let's face it. You dodged because you don't want to play that match. If your other teammates feel the same, they would had dodge themselves.

we'd probably have had someone purposefully feeding all game, ending with a rather painful defeat that nobody would have been able to shake off

are you a psychic???

Wrong wrong, You think its troll but I had this same issue forgot to switch to Smite. I dont read Client chat and in-game chat, reading streaming chat etc.
https://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-details/NA1/2834057857/227492658?tab=overview I was playing Wukong Jungle and I aurally did bad on early game and carried. Without smite it is hard to jungle in early game but with ignite it is good after when you get 1 - 2 core.
