His E is his most interesting and unique ability, and they took power out of it to put it in a fairly boring targeted nuke.

Lugg2 votesI didn't think it made him clunky, it just made you land the stun for a power combo on champs. It has always been great for waveclear, he's one of the top 5 in the game in that category.

Lugg2 votesAzir is stronger due to the utility in his ult. Vlad is pick/ban because he's a flex pick. Vik is usually better than the rest if you are good with him since he fits multiple team comps.

Lugg2 votesI think the delay makes him a much more "fair" champ to play against. It makes him more of a combo mage since you need to use gravity field effectively to get the delayed damage.

I don't think people can right away, theory craft what those changes do to a champ, and how can you work around them.
Looking at the LCS, The biggest change I find is in his ult. They changed his ult so that it did more damage over time instead of in a quick burst. Though it ultimately increased the total potential damage. The pro scene was quick to adapt to those changes. They would rush the perfect hex core, to get the increased speed on his ult. Combined that with Crystal scepter, and it became extremely difficult to escape his ult before he would completely melt you.
